Malcolm Turnbull has called for more truth in parliament. I agree, so in this post we have a look at what a dirty rotten lying scoundrel Malcolm Turnbull is.
In a speech that Mr Turnbull gave in Perth last Wednesday it was reported “Malcolm Turnbull has decried the state of political discourse in Australia, saying it had deteriorated to such an extent that the nation suffered “a deficit of trust” and there was an urgent need for honesty in politics.” (Click here to read more)
Before Malcolm starts preaching he needs to have a good look at himself. His own party dumped him as leader in 2009 and from all reports trust and honesty were an issue. Mr Turnbull has also refused to answer a number of questions in relation to a grant he gave when he was Enviroment Minister in the Howard government to his friend Matt Handbury.
Mr Turnbull’s electorate fund-raising is done though an organisation he set up in 2007 called the Wentworth Forum. The SMH reported “Regarded as the country’s most sophisticated political fund-raising machine, the forum offers membership packages that give the most generous supporters more opportunities to gain access to Mr Turnbull.”
“It costs $5500 to be a “member”, $11,000 to be a “sponsor”, $16,500 to be a “patron”, $25,500 to be a “benefactor” and $55,000 to be a “governor”.”
“A governor can host boardroom events, and gets two tables at big functions featuring Mr Turnbull, and attendance at an exclusive dinner for supporters.”
“An analysis of forum donations, fund-raising events and memberships between 2007 and last December shows Mr Turnbull received more than $1.4 million. He personally contributed about $10,000 in catering for forum events. Most of the money was raised before the 2007 federal election.” (Click here to read more)
Matt Handbury was one of the donors to Mr Turnbull’s Wentworth Forum.
Before the 2007 election and two weeks after the election was called Malcolm Turnbull announced that the government would spend $11 million funding a trial of rainfall technology. The company in question was Australian Rain Corporation which was then part-owned by Matt Handbury.
It says on Mr Turnbull’s Wikipedia profile “During the 2007 election campaign, Turnbull announced that the then Government would contribute $10 million to the investigation of an untried Russian technology that aims to trigger rainfall from the atmosphere, even when there are no clouds. Literature suggests that the technology is based on bogus science. The Australian Rain Corporation presented research documents written in Russian, explained by a Russian researcher who spoke to local experts in Russian.”
“Although Turnbull claimed that Australian Rain Corporation is Australian-based, investigations have shown that it is in fact 75 per cent Swiss-owned. It was also revealed that a prominent stakeholder in the Australian Rain Corporation, Matt Handbury, is a nephew of Rupert Murdoch. Turnbull has refused to answer questions regarding Matt Handbury’s contribution to the Wentworth Forum, the main fundraising organisation for Turnbull’s 2007 election campaign.” (Click here to read more)
It was even raised in parliament in 2009 during the infamous Godwin Grech / Utegate scandal. On the 22nd June 2009 the following statement by Tony Burke Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population shows up on Hansard:
“There is an interesting organisation involved in what is described as ‘rainfall enhancement technology’—a company named the Australian Rain Corporation. Apparently they have decided to corporatise rain! The Australian Rain Corporation sought money and the National Water Commission commissioned an independent review of the technology that they were putting forward by a former senior CSIRO officer and professor of physical sciences and engineering from the ANU. The National Water Commission insisted that the Australian Rain Corporation give a presentation of this technology to a panel of physicists. They then provided it with the research papers and made the presentation in Russian. The independent review concluded: ‘There is no convincing evidence that the Atlant technology operates as believed by its proponents.’ But in the end the department recommended that the member for Wentworth provide them with $2 million for a trial, which was arguably a generous offering, given what had been said about the technology. What did the Leader of the Opposition, as a minister, do with a recommendation to give them $2 million? He wrote to the Prime Minister seeking a lazy $10 million for the Australian Rain Corporation. You have to ask: What would be the circumstances of taking a departmental recommendation for $2 million and turning it into $10 million? Why would the Leader of the Opposition have done that as a minister?”
“This is where we discover that an executive of the Australian Rain Corporation happened to be a next-door neighbour of the Leader of the Opposition. The same person, the same neighbour, was a member of his electorate fundraising committee, the Wentworth Forum, with membership costing a cool $5,000 to get yourself into the room. If you want to find deals for mates, there are stories of deals for mates and there are stories that rest very squarely with the Leader of the Opposition. This is the same person who was able to run around saying, ‘Well, we’ve got this email. You’d better publish it,’ and who went to members of staff, intimidated them and said that he had documentary evidence. All we ask of the Leader of the Opposition is: prove that you have been telling the truth. We know what will happen. We know we will be greeted with the same deathly silence that we get now. Another article says: “Rainmaker Ian Searle, the father of cloud seeding in Australia for the Tasmanian Hydro scheme, has also expressed doubts, as has Israel’s internationally respected cloud physicist Professor Daniel Rosenfeld.”
“There is no single scientific paper, only the patent, and one can patent anything claiming it’s to do anything that he likes, as long as no one else has made the same claims before,” Professor Rosenfeld said.
“Mr Searle says all the literature he has seen on the technology shows it to be a bogus science.” (Click here to read more)
At one point the government were talking about having an inquiry into the grant to Australian Rain Corporation but it never eventuated. As it turned out when the Rudd government came to power in November 2007 the new Enviroment Minister Penny Wong cancelled the grant but $2.97 million had already been paid and there were likely other costs in terminating the funding agreement. There are a lot of unanswered questions that Malcolm Turnbull needs to answer about the Australian Rain Corporation grant. So far he refuses.
Other issues about his honesty have also been raised such as: “Mr Turnbull connection to the logging industry in Solomon Islands began in 1991 and 1992, when he owned shares and also chairman of the then Hong Kong listed Axiom Forest Resources that own logging operations and forest concessions in the country.”
He rejected accusations that he had once played a huge role in bad logging practices in Solomon Islands, claiming “he was trying to encourage local landowners to change logging practices and ways”.
Mr Turnbull then further claimed “…. the company (Silvania) brought in some of the best foresters in the world. There was a lot of work done on reforestation, on plantations”.
A report by the Australian International Development Aid Bureau – now Ausaid – in 1994 described the logging practices of Axiom subsidiary Silvania Forest Products as:…”more like a clear-felling operation and bearing little relation to an attempt at even retaining a token sample of future commercial crop on the site.”
A separate report also described Silvania’s forest practices as “amongst the worst in the world.” (Click here to read more)
If Malcolm Turnbull wants more honesty in government he needs to start with himself. At the next election if the polls are true and the Liberals/Nationals win power one of the first things that they need to do is get rid of Turnbull. He is a major liability, not an asset. Judgement day is coming for all corrupt politicians no matter what side of politics they are on.

Regrettably, I could not afford his fees, so an appointment was out of the question. Are all local members so expensive.?

The Carbon Trading Scheme is exactly what it says it is.. a SCHEME for TRADING (a commodity on the stock market – in this case carbon) and it seems that Malcolm Turncoat is on any side that will bring this scheme into legislation. Having been a merchant banker and worth ?? millions of dollars, is it possible that Malcolm saw a few hundred extra million at the end of this carbon rainbow??

The subject of Turnbull may well be a bit of a detour from recent subject matter, but an extremely timely one Shane.
There is much in Turnbull’s background that demands greater scrutiny and, like Gillard, “it was so long ago” won’t cut it.
He first came to my attention during the course of the collapse of HIH and the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the culpability of the players in that sorry episode in our economic history.

Goldman Sachs has been one of the major instigators of Global Climate Fraud and Turnbull has much to be grateful to GSA for – it was their cash that “settled”, and bailed him out of a tight spot. He remains a staunch advocate for the Climate Lobby – he has a lot of markers that will be called-in, and his investments in Green Scams will reap him a bundle if he can keep the agenda on-track.
When looking for the most odious characters sitting in our Parliament, it’s hard to go past Turnbull as poster-boy for the most disingenuous, manipulative and treacherous of the lot of them.
Dear Malcolm stated his intention to leave us and parliament, I think after the Howard loss. (stand to be corrected) then changed his mind. At the time, I thought ‘the markers’ were called on, for him to dutifully stay. Going to be interesting, as to his backer’s next move. Consider: If one is worth over a hundred million, why put up with boring crap over question time and peasant constituents, whilst in opposition. Viva, the Republic! As a distraction?
Black swan……. Try and get a comment on Turnbull posted in the MSM that points out his real aims when it comes to “the weather”. He supports an ETS for one reason only, and it has nothing to do with lowering emissions. It is all about his future bank balance.
Bazza, the MSM has decided Turnbull is teflon-coated – any negative comment on him is moderated out and never sees the light of day. They all think he’ll roll Abbott eventually and end up as PM, and they don’t want to be denied ‘access’ in future, so it’s ‘hands off’. That’s why I gave up bothering with any comment on their opinion blogs – pointless.
It’s not only about his bank balance, it’s about what he owes and to whom.
Further, as for providing a competent and genuine reply to a constituent on a subject that is worrisome to the government, forget it, not even an acknowledgement! A large majority support by interest groups replaces Aussie liberal and loyal Aussie national peasants, period!

Malcolm almost succeeded in destroying the conservative side of politics in 2009, first through the Godwin Gretch matter and then through cosying up to Rudd on an ETS (with which he seems seriously compromised via business interests).
As one of many who forced the Lib/Nats into an 11th-hour leadership spill that tipped him out, I wonder why Mr Turnbull is still there if not to be a spoiler. He’s certainly not trying hard on the NBN or that dead duck Conroy, he’s too busy sabotaging his own side to do the job he’s being paid for.

Don’t forget – Abbott only gained the Leadership by a single vote. It’s a sobering fact that almost half the Opposition think he’s good enough to lead their Party.
As far as I’m concerned, that fact demonstrates that our Parliament consists almost entirely of ‘useful idiots’ of any persuasion. They are pre-selected on their track-record of compliance with the Party apparatchiks – they are lazy, don’t do their homework, don’t read or understand the legislation they are told to vote on, and are unlikely to ‘rock the boat’ in being hampered by integrity or a capacity for independent thought.
Turnbull, himself an ego-driven sock-puppet for Goldman Sachs, is the perfect vehicle to become puppet-master in our Parliament. Gillard laid the groundwork for Carbon legislation attracting all the flak – if Turnbull can succeed in white-anting Abbott, he’ll be splashing the Climate Cash in all directions. There will be NO repeal of Carbon legislation.

I have always had deep concerns about Malcolm Turnball and the danger he is not only for the LNP and for Australian politics in general. An ommissions trading scheme is certainly on his agenda. He certainly has no integrity and does not deserve to be a member of parliament he is to be watched closely. I think that Tony Abbott has his measure. I hope for the future of Australia Tony can continue to endure and achieve the outcome he deserves.

Thank you for bringing up the issue of Turnbull Shane. Many of our politicians have sold their souls to the Globalist agenda on both sides of the House. Turnbull would be among the worst when it comes to acts against the best interests of this country. Goldman is like the CIA or Mossad (in fact probably part of). Once in you never really leave.

I have to say I’ve been a bit taken aback whenever Turnbull opens his mouth, as most of the time his rhetoric is either aimed at this own party or spouting off about climate change, which, btw, used to be called global warming. When things didn’t warm up fast enough to suit them, they changed it to climate change as that covers everything!
I believe humans are killing the planet, but this carbon tax and trading emissions nonsense will do nothing to help. IMO there are simply too many people..what to do about that is anyone’s guess. Another big bang probably.

I happened to watch question time when the Grech thing fell apart. Mr Joe Hockey was seen to confront Mr turnbull and tell him that the scam was over. I was just reading body language here, but Mr Turnbull seemed to then lose all his O2 and accept that he had been conned. For a person of some intellect, this was a hard call. So what has changed since—————————nothing.
Turnbull’s support of the infamous naked child photographer lost me.
This is an excellent post and (the majority of) the comments here are brilliant to say the least. I’m excited by the number of responses and the honesty and knowledge expressed within these comments. It’s comforting to know that so many Aussies are onto this charlatan and his smug, sly, slimy business principals. NSW Green vote on the decline is a litmus test for the upcoming Federal election and a clear message for all politicians with a quid or two invested each way. As you say, their judgement day approaches!

However, politics is always about ‘perception’ and they don’t call it the ‘donkey vote’ for nothing.
The way Turnbull’s head pops up on the ABC and is feted by the likes of Tony Jones and his carefully selected audiences, there are many who agree he’s the answer to Labor’s prayers.
For a long time I’ve seen Labor’s relentless personal attacks against Abbott as, not so much to discredit the Coalition, as to personally denigrate Abbott and pave the way for Turnbull to roll him.
Don’t forget, Abbott won the leadership by a single vote. All they need to get Turnbull back in the chair is to sway a couple of votes and he’s in.
If the public perception is that Turnbull is the better man (without being the liability that Abbott is being portayed as), there are enough bums-on-seats Lib MPs who will ‘go with the flow’ and vote accordingly.
This is not looking good – that reptile is a whisker away from being PM.

I think Malcolm Turnbull is not to be trusted, knew that a long time ago, he belongs in the Labor-party, he should feel at home with that sleazy lot.

Bazza – Today at Question Time in the House I watched Turdbull spend almost the entire time he was there utterly preoccupied with his iPad and his telephone (as did most of the MPs in the Parliament). For the brief period he wasn’t tweeting, typing and flicking through his touch-screen he slouched with his arms crossed, a perfect body-language example of disinterest – a time-server in waiting.

Curious – I have a lot to say about politicians – I wanted to eyeball them in person and ensure that my impressions of them were justified. Their behaviour when the cameras aren’t on them is MOST revealing.
Their very actions demonstrated to me that the hundreds of members of the public who packed out the galleries were of no significance to them whatsoever.
We were just a ‘wallpaper’ background to their 3-ring circus and certainly not accorded the respect and courtesy one usually has for one’s Employers.
Did you know that Sept 15th is the UN Day of Democracy? There was a display outside the House of Reps where members of the Public could fill out a form headed “Democracy is …..”

Correct. The Greens are a front, though I suspect Milne is more of a useful idiot than a true One-Worlder. Turnbull is equally part of the same team just with a different placement. No doubt he’ll be well rewarded for his treason, unless he becomes a liability to them (see Utegate), in which case his car may be fitted with a set of Boston Brakes.
Hey Treeman- Bollon is a bit cosmopolitan for Turnbull, I think that Wyandra would be better. I’ve been suggesting for years that the NFF offices should move from Canberra to Mungindi or Eulo… or somewhere similar. Keep them focussed on what their role is!

I noticed that nine news Adelaide last week did a short piece on Abbott a negative one and used your description of Turnbull as having a forked tongue and used it to discribe Tony.I had switched to nine as i will never watch seven after Mark Riley did his stint i am hoping that nine isnt going down the same road.
I am sorry to tell you that all t.v. stations are the same, they are all in the Club. Nine is the same, if anything good happens with one of the members of the opposition, you can back it in, either you will never hear about it, or it is one sentence, which no one picks up. Also agree with the photo-op where Turnbull sits next to HER, after the same sex marriage vote, that was a set-up

One of Malcolm Turnbulls senior advisers now is a senior communications man for SERCO. I wonder how much weight they pull on Malcolm Turnbulls decisions. What suprised me was this person was also senior adviser for Tony Abbott, Eric Abetts and John Howard.
Extract from Courier Mail Oct 01 2011 reads like this:

I must admit Shane, you are completely right about Malcolm Turnbull. Turnbull is a dirty rotten scoundrel who doesn’t care about the Australian people, only he cares for himself and to become PM. His performance as communications minister over the few months since the coalition took government has been appalling, inept, lazy etc. Turnbull is a liability to the liberal party who needs to be removed from the front bench immediately. I know it’s over a year since you did this post Shane but your opinion on Turnbull is completely correct. Keep a close eye on Mr Turnbull, Shane.
