The NSW police have charged Scott Morrison’s mate Hillsong Pastor Brian Houston with concealing his father’s sexual abuse of a child. The NSW police issued the below statement on Thursday the 5th of August and I also phoned the NSW police to confirm it was Brian Houston.

A church leader has been charged over the alleged concealment of alleged child sex offences.

In 2019, an investigation commenced by officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command into reports a 67-year-old man had knowingly concealed information relating to child sexual offences.

Following extensive investigations, detectives requested the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) review their brief of evidence.

Earlier this week, the ODPP provided advice to police, and following further inquiries, detectives served a Court Attendance Notice for conceal serious indictable offence on the man’s legal representative about 2pm today (Thursday 5 August 2021).

Police will allege in court the man knew information relating to the sexual abuse of a young male in the 1970s and failed to bring that information to the attention of police.

The man is expected to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 5 October 2021.

In April 2021 I published an article titled “5-year NSW Police investigation into Hillsong’s Brian Houston covering up for his paedophile father continues. Why 5 years?” so the investigation has taken a long time. The police say they started their investigation in 2019 but that is when the started the investigation for a second time. The first investigation actually started in 2016 then they paused it.

Most of the background information is in an article I published in July 2019 titled “NSW Police confirm PM Scott Morrison’s mate Hillsong’s Brian Houston still under investigation for concealing paedophile father” which started off: Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife were on stage leading prayers in front of 21,000 people on Tuesday night (9/7/19) with the Hillsong Church’s Brian Houston who is still under investigation by the NSW police for concealing the sexual abuse of children by his father Frank Houston. In April 2021 Brett Sengstock who was raped as a child by Brian Houston’s paedophile father Frank Houston tweeted @brettsengstock:

Brian Houston and his family also gave an interview in 2016 on The Inside Story program and it is worth watching the part where they discuss Frank Houston because all they seem to care about is themselves and what impact it had on them. There was no discussion on what they would do for the victims and Brian Houston is caught out giving two different reasons why he didn’t go to the police, one version for the show and another version when he was in the witness stand at the Royal Commission.

I also published a video in 2019, as per below, exposing some of the lies Brian Houston told in his 2016 interview on The Inside Story program.

It was reported last week that Brian Houston is in Mexico with his wife so I wonder when he will return. He has until the 5th of October going by the police statement because that is when he is due in court. I have been reporting on this story for a few years and I will keep a close watch on developments.
