Will Scott Morrison sell Australian government secrets in his new roles after resigning from parliament?

Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who is likely the most corrupt Prime Minister this country has ever had, is set to cash in $millions from his time in parliament after he retires at the end of February.

Given Morrison’s history of leaking highly classified and confidential information, as outlined below, there has to be a good chance that Morrison will in effect sell Australian government secrets for a profit by illegally giving classified information to his new employers.

It’s well known that Scott Morrison has been looking for another job for over a year but hasn’t been able to find an employer which makes you wonder what he has promised his new employers?

News.com reports:

After revealing plans to resign in February, Mr Morrison said he would be joining consulting firm American Global Strategies as non-executive vice chairman.

He will also assume a strategic advisor role with AUKUS investor DYNE Maritime, alongside former US Secretary of State and ex-CIA director Mike Pompeo.

The venture capital company invests in technologies related to the joint security agreement that was orchestrated under Mr Morrison’s leadership.

Greens defence spokesman David Shoebridge said Mr Morrison’s swift move into the private defence sector was an example of why the public was cynical about politicians.

“Morrison is leaving politics only to grab his very unfair share of the billions of dollars of public money that he has shovelled into AUKUS,” Senator Shoebridge said. (Click here to read more)

Morrison will retire from Federal Parliament at the end of February 2024 and by his own admission his new roles will leverage off his time in parliament especially AUKUS and the Quad which are both agreements with foreign countries.

Scott Morrison’s resignation statement on the 23/1/24 says:

Mr Morrison said he was looking forward to new challenges and that he would be taking up a series of global strategic advisory roles and private boards, focussed on the US and Indo-Pacific, drawing on his experience and networks in the region, in particular through AUKUS and the Quad, while spending more time with his family in the Shire. The Quad is a diplomatic partnership between Australia, India, Japan, and the United States committed to supporting an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific that is inclusive and resilient. (Click here to read more)

But the $368 billion AUKUS deal is where the real money is to be made so much so that former Liberal MP’s Joe Hockey and Christopher Pyne already have their snouts in the AUKUS trough.

In the below video I outline the issues regarding Morrison potentially selling Australian secrets:

Scott Morrison leaking classified and confidential information

On the 4th of November 2021 I published an article titled “Scott Morrison leaked a 15-page US government document to embarrass President Joe Biden” that starts off:

Scott Morrison leaked a 15-page US government document to embarrass President Joe Biden, but the Australian media are totally focused on French President Emmanuel Macron calling Scott Morrison a liar and Morrison then leaking text messages.

Given our trade and defence ties with the US are the most important we have, then the leaking of the 15-page report could likely end up being a lot more damaging than the controversy with France.

The leaking of the 15-page USA government document report has only been reported by the ABC’s 7.30 Report on Tuesday (2/11/21) at this stage to my knowledge which I have also reported in the below video that I published on Wednesday (3/11/21): (Click here to read the article)

On the 27th of August 2023 I published an article titled “Scott Morrison published Australian and US Government secrets regarding AUKUS. So why has Morrison not been charged?” which starts off:

Scott Morrison leaked US and Australian government documents in October/November 2021 to embarrass US President Joe Biden but Scott Morrison has never been questioned or charged regarding the leaks unlike others who have done the same or similar.

Julian Assange and Daniel Duggan are both in jail and in the process of being extradited to the US and whistleblowers Richard Boyle and David McBride are facing charges for leaking Australian government information.

Even Donald Trump has been charged with illegally having classified documents so why is Scott Morrison above the law? (Click here to read more)

Scott Morrison leaked cabinet information to News Corp journalists

Scott Morrison was also exposed for leaking cabinet secrets to News Corp journalists Simon Benson and Geoff Chambers for their book Plagued: Australia’s two years of hell. The Guardian reported:

The attorney general, Mark Dreyfus, has written to Scott Morrison to warn the former prime minister against any “further disclosures” that “undermine national security and the integrity of the cabinet process”.

In a letter to Morrison that was tabled during a Senate hearing on Monday, Dreyfus raised concern at “the apparent extensive disclosures of cabinet information” in the recently published book Plagued: Australia’s two years of hell.

The book, which was promoted as giving the “inside story” of the Morrison government’s handling of the pandemic, was written by Simon Benson and Geoff Chambers of the Australian newspaper.

Its publication triggered political fallout because of revelations Morrison had secretly appointed himself to multiple ministries, starting with health and Treasury – but it also contained previously unknown details of deliberations of Australia’s national security committee of cabinet. Scott Morrison is a walking and talking sieve who will leak secret government information at any time if he will benefit from it. So would a person like Scott Morrison leak secret government information to an employer who was paying him $millions?

Only time will tell but Scott Morrison has a long history of scandals and I think we will here a lot more of him in the future.

  1. He’s shown to be a professional “leaker” if the price is right..his history clearly shows this and with his connection to old media, News in particular, probably got a direct phone number to those prepared to spread their cash…as ‘I can’t recall’ Gladys said “he’s a horrible horrible person”

  2. Somewhat of a rhetorical question regarding this man.

What comes to mind for me is that well known story of Adam & Eve and the snake, and we know what happened there.

  3. Of course he will. Morrison has proved to be totally unethical.
He’s in it fo the money and will do anything to benefit his packet.
Morroron has burnt all of his political bridges, so he has to change his approach.

  4. Well … I think one must just simply re-visit those people who have had any dealings with Scott Morrison, for a personal appraisal.

For one, I urge you to go to this ABC article and watch and listen to the dismissed veteran Liberal senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells video. Read the complete article too.

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-03-30/scott-morrison-dismisses-veteran-liberal-senators-criticism/100949996

The case rests good people of Australia.

  5. The Australian government has no secrets, since both Liberals and Labor have handed the country on a plate to the USA, for the vague promise of some rusty, obsolete submarines. Oi Oi Oi…

  6. Morrison has thrown many of his opponents under the bus, ruining their careers, health outcomes causing premature death in some cases. His success largely due to the complicit Media in Australia and some of the ignorant voting Australians.
AUKUS stitch up by Morrison will have the most devasting consequences to Australian Sovereignty. Morrison’s new career strategy of joining ranks with his like minded Pentecostal friend Mike Pompeo and Global defense firms had been in the pipe line for some time. Morrison is burning his bridges behind him this time round, don’t be surprised if he dumps his Australian Citizenship.

  7. Where was Morrisons success in the commercial world pre his Liberal Party promotion ? Failed Tourism Australia ! Failed QLD Building Society (home mortgage lender) pre banks taking them over. Yet maudlin Morrison made good personal financial gains each time. He Morrison the Christian of Hillsong Church ( that with a paedophile leader) makes Beetrooter Barnaby famous for his family man look almost honest.

  8. From cricket to parliament corruption is well cemented in Australia.
Premiers & ministers have jumped ship, only to go where the big $$$$$$$$’s are waiting for their contribution of information.
If you want to get rich, get into politics or sport.
The Lord blesses them who look after their own backyards first, hahahaha

  9. Morrison supported the QUAD, AUKUS, knowing he and his mates, Joe Hockey, Christopher Pyne, likely other past MPs, would have jobs, a good stream of cash, likely many 10s of $millions from consulting, when retired from politics. From the enormous $368billion of AUKUS. As Paul Keating said ‘the worst deal in history’.
Likely some donors will benefit too.
Morrison had to wait 18 months, although he has still been in parliament – how does that work?
The problem here is Labor was willing to support Morrison’s AUKUS and QUAD, as well as most other Howard, and other LNP government policies.
Without Labor, who might be the biggest supporters of the US Alliance of the two main parties, happy to give our sovereignty to the USA, unlikely this job for Morrison would have eventuated.
Labor in November started the big cash flow to the US nuclear submarine builders of $4.7billion. From ABC reports. As well as agreeing to any nuclear waste deposits from AUKUS to be stored at a Perth Military base.
Not sure how much of this is known in Perth. And by Australians.
Labor are big on secrecy no different to the LNP.
All Morrison probably has to do is drink coffee, sit in an office and cafe all day on his possible once a month visit.
All as a thank you for all the money flowing from Australian taxpayers into the US Submarine manufacturing business.
I believe his family will stay in Australia.
So we might blame Morrison, but Labor has really done the dirty on Australia.

  10. Why hasn’t the new u-beaut corruption commission investigated Morrison and Dutton? Wasn’t that the expectation and surly it’s warranted or it just a protected boys club regardless of who is PM and the law?

  11. Political party’s the best jig in town, where you get to screw the people do all the dodgy stuff to feather your own nest at the same time destroying majority of the populations lives and get handsomely rewarded for it, and never see the inside of a jail cell ever. And the sad thing is the people know it. All supported by the other criminals in the place, AFP.

  12. I recall Morrison’s visiting the grave of one of his Convict ancestors (possibly during a quick detour from the COP ‘conference’ where he and his buddies from the fossil-fuel industry, blatantly promoted the anti-climate change agenda)? The convict stain is obviously (and indelibly) ingrained in Morrison’s DNA.

    • Scott visited the grave of his ancestor when he invited himself to the G7 in Cornwall. Australia is not a member of the G7 but Scott had to be out of the country on the day the Federal Court approved a $1.8billion settlement for the Robotdebt victims. (June 11, 2021)

A good example of how ‘Scotty from marketing’ operated. He used Australian apathy and the captive media to cover his tracks. The fact AUKUS is Scotty’s great legacy is a joke because AUKUS was formed to protect us from the people Scotty sold the Port of Darwin to.

As treasurer Scotty was chair of the Foreign Investment Revue Board. He had final say on the NT government decision to lease the port for 99 years. The name ‘Andrew Robb’ springs to mind here.

  13. There should be a cabinet decision that people like Morrison, Pyne and Hockey should be excluded forever from AUKUS projects.

  14. Trump gave Pratt US top secrets that he disseminated to his friends and former LNP PM’s. Morrison should be investigated by the US and Australian governments about what secrets he was given. Given Scomos track record he will also like Trump believe that they are allowed to sell these illegally obtained secrets to other countries.

  15. Scott Morrison was also exposed for leaking cabinet secrets to News Corp journalists Simon Benson and Geoff Chambers for their book Plagued: Australia’s two years of hell. The Guardian reported:

Why are Benson and Chambers not behind bars? This is the same crap they have carried on with about Julian Assange.

  16. Does Australia still have honest politicians? Any politician that sells information, their vote, or any form of support to better their life at the detriment of Australians are criminals.
