We’ve had another year of punching well above our weight, especially over the last few months where former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who is the current Australian Ambassador to the US, made a frivolous defamation complaint to YouTube and Google and the NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton referenced this website at a parliament house hearing.

We also publicly named a person who was found to have acted corruptly by the National Anti-Corruption Commission but was protected by the NACC with a pseudonym.

That will force some sort of change at the NACC moving forward which should hopefully lead to all people being named if they have had criminal or corruption findings made against them.

I posted a number of NACC articles that were exclusives to this website and YouTube channel and which must have caught Commissioner Paul Brereton’s attention.

We also played our part with reporting that helped lead to Peter Dutton losing his seat at the May 2025 election.

One thing that lasted almost 9 years, from 2014 to 2022, was Kerry Stokes’s SLAPP lawsuits against me and this website, but the massive drop in defamation lawsuits, after law changes, suggest we had a part in winning that battle so crooks like Stokes find it a lot harder to silence journalists reporting the truth.

Next year will be a very important year as the Bondi shooting will continue to consume a lot of media, politics, the law and political debate.

The Bondi shooting shows independent media is more important than ever, as the old media have been pushing propaganda and lies.

It is not for the old media to platform a foreign government to attack our government nor is it for the old media to use opposition lies to attack the federal government.

There were a lot of mistakes made and hopefully there will be a Royal Commission into the Bondi shooting, and I’ll be reporting on it.

I will have a few surprises next year trying to do some things differently to help drive change. 

One thing that is a must, which I will be driving hard next year, is revenue raising because I have to, otherwise I won’t survive and to help grow the work I do.

Most independent media struggles financially and I started a campaign 5 weeks ago to reverse the slide backwards and it is starting to show promise with 49 new monthly supporters as outlined below.

On that note, a big thank you to all supporters who read, watch and share my work, especially monthly and one-off donors that keep me afloat which allows me to report on this website and YouTube channel.
