National Anti-Corruption Commission Commissioner Paul Brereton has blamed this website for 90 complaints against him and then he went on a conspiracy theory rant, with no evidence, blaming members of the defence force for the complaints, when he was before a Parliament hearing last Thursday.
It shows Paul Brereton is unfit to continue as NACC Commissioner as his key role is to make findings of fact, about corruption allegations, based on supporting evidence.
But since Brereton showed last Thursday, as per the below video, he is prepared to publicly make findings of fact, based on no evidence, how reliable will his investigations and reports into corruption be.
And how does Brereton operate behind closed doors given his scandalous conduct before the Parliament which was livestreamed to the public.
There are 3 short videos below. 1. Commissioner Brereton blaming this website. 2. Helen Haines / Paul Brereton discussion about a NACC employee making a complaint about Paul Brereton. 3. Senator David Shoebridge / Paul Brereton discussion about Brereton’s conspiracy theory.
In the below video NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton was before the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the National Anti-Corruption Commission on Thursday (11-12-25) for a review of the NACC’s annual report. Brereton says in the video, “One particular fringe website” “that published some information about the procural of counsel assisting” “had a line on there” “send your complaint to the inspector, it only takes a minute and the more complaints you send in the harder it is for the Inspector to ignore them.”
I published an article on the 16th of October 2025 about “the procural of counsel assisting” titled “NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton’s fraudulent $100,000 jobs for the boys and girls scam exposed” and it says at the end of the article:
“You can make a complaint about NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton’s jobs for his mates scandal to the Inspector of the NACC on their website by clicking here. The more people that make a complaint the harder it is for the Inspector of the NACC to sweep the complaints under the carpet. It only takes 30 seconds and can be done anonymously.” (Click here to read the article)
It is obvious Brereton was talking about this website and I do note that Commissioner Brereton did not challenge any of the content of my article or any other articles I have written about himself or the NACC.
The NACC Inspector, Gail Furness, told the parliament on Thursday she had received “close to 90 complaints” since the 1st of July 2025 about 3 issues. Firstly, NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton’s connection to defence, secondly, the Commissioner’s ongoing role with the IGADF and thirdly, the procurement of counsel assisting.
To blame this website for all 90 complaints doesn’t stack up and even if it was true, so what. If they are legitimate complaints they should be investigated.
The below video is federal MP Helen Haines asking Commissioner Paul Brereton about a former NACC employee making a complaint against Commissioner Brereton. The below video is worth noting given Paul Brereton tried to dismiss most, if not all, of the complaints as frivolous or vexatious.
In the below video Senator David Shoebridge questions Commissioner Paul Brereton about Brereton’s conspiracy theory about the 90 complainants being people who do not want the Brereton Report recommendations implemented in the Australian Defence Force.
Paul Brereton has to be referring to current Australian Defence Force staff, as they would be the only ones who don’t want his Brereton Report recommendations implemented, but he admits he doesn’t know any of the complainant’s names nor does he produce any evidence.
Paul Brereton is a former judge, and judges publish written reasons so the public can see the evidence to support the judges findings.
If Senator Shoebridge had not asked Paul Brereton what evidence he had, which exposed he had none, there would be people who watched the video stream who would have thought Brereton did have evidence to support his allegations given he is a former judge.
Closing arguments
Commissioner Paul Brereton had a finding of “officer misconduct” made against him by the Inspector of the NACC in October 2024 after more than 1000 complaints about the NACC’s summary dismissal of the 6 Robodebt referrals.
Brereton is not in a position to criticise any complaints against himself which he is trying to do in all three videos above.
Brereton blames this website for the complaints against him and then he changes tune and blames people who don’t want his Brereton Report recommendations implemented in the ADF for the complaints against him. He sounds paranoid.
Brereton is either lying in all three videos above, which I have no doubt he is, or he really believes some of the conspiracy theory excuses he gives, with no evidence, in the videos. Either way, a compulsive lair or conspiracy theorist, he is not fit for office as Commissioner of the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Brereton sounds like a completely instutionalised flop.
Such arrogance from Brereton to blame the people that are complaining!!!!!!
He needs to be removed. The NACC is a joke
As was intended by Albanese and Dutton colluding to make it so.
Dear Shane and other readers,
I lodged a complaint with the NACC about corruption in that Former Attorney-General George Brandis and others bankrupted me on evidence that never existed in any forum.
I received a response to my complaint NACC stating that no systematic behaviour had occurred.
I had provided in hard copy to the NACC a document received in a FOI request in support to my complaint received from the Office of the Attorney-General’s Department that stated words that an Imprimatur of the law I requested did not exist.
This Imprimatur that does not exist in records of the Office of the Attorney-General’s Department was used to seize my assets by Attorney-General Senator George Brandis. and cronies in bankruptcy proceedings.
Fraud was committed against me by the Highest Lawmaker in the land Attorney-General George Brandis and others.
The purpose for Bankruptig me was I believe to stop me from using the Courts.
The NACC refused to take note of evidence.
Then I read the post Kangaroo Court Australia posted on the 90 complaints to the NACC INSPECTOR and the pitiful response to a Senate Inquiry by Paul Brereton.
This Ex-Judge (Brereton) is a disgrace and must be sacked immediately from the NACC. I will be lodging another complaint to go with the 90 complaints already received by the Inspector of the NACC.
Peter John Wilkshire
I don’t think it is within the realm of tradition to question the competency of these old, and often demented board and committee members, who only have their positions as members of the ruling class.
I’d suggest Brereton is the perfect fit for Commissioner of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, given the collusion between the Albanese government and the Dutton-led Liberal coalition, to ensure the NACC would always be a body ensuring political corruption remains in the shadows.
His work in hiding the real criminals in Australian war crimes, ensured him of the position in the NACC. He had proven his loyalty to the regime.
Yes, he was well chosen to ensure the NACC was in fact a Pollie Protection Racket and it has worked very well as such. Why anybody would give their precious vote to either of the major parties who screwed us royally, when they knew that the majority who voted for Labor, voted in main for a fully functioning NACC. How naive we were.
The number of pompous jackasses that infest the upper ranks of the legal profession never ceases to amaze me. Brereton asks “cui bono?” (btw Cicero not Cato) ,well that would be all those that the NACC doesn’t investigate seriously &/or does’t name. It must be asked what has the NACC,at huge expense, actually achieved apart from cover ups.
Commissioner Paul Brereton’s recent testimony before the Parliamentary Joint Committee on 11 December 2025 is, frankly, bewildering given his long and distinguished legal and judicial career. Brereton served as Solicitor (1982–1987), Barrister (1987–2005), Senior Counsel (1998–2005), Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (2005–2018, Equity Division), and Judge of Appeal (2018–2023). In all these roles, he was expected to assess evidence rigorously, reason carefully, and act impartially.
Yet in the Senate hearing, Commissioner Brereton publicly speculated without evidence, blaming a media website for complaints against him and suggesting that some complainants might be ADF personnel opposed to his report recommendations. For a former judge, this is astonishing: the hallmark of his career was evidence-based reasoning, not conjecture or defensive theorizing.
Several pressures may help explain – but not excuse – this conduct:
Role Transition: Moving from the controlled environment of the bench to a high-profile, public-facing investigative agency exposes one to scrutiny, criticism, and political pressures Brereton had never faced.
Public Scrutiny and Criticism: The sheer number of complaints and public attention can provoke defensive instincts, even in highly trained legal professionals.
Cognitive Load and Stress: Managing multiple complex, high-stakes issues in the NACC can affect judgment and lead to statements that, in a courtroom, would have been carefully qualified and strictly evidence-based.
But let’s be clear: these factors do not justify the extraordinary leap from fact to unfounded speculation, nor do they excuse the apparent inability to maintain the calm, evidence-grounded demeanour one would expect of a former Supreme Court Judge and Judge of Appeal. If the standard for leading Australia’s anti-corruption efforts is anything like the reasoning displayed in this testimony, the public has every right to question whether Commissioner Brereton is presently equipped to uphold the credibility, impartiality, and rigor his office demands.
I am utterly gobsmacked that someone with decades of judicial training and experience could publicly allow themselves to indulge in such reckless speculation, leaving observers struggling to reconcile this conduct with the very standards of evidence and reasoning his entire career should have embodied.
Another pressure: guilt? For doing a dirty job for Albanese, and for covering his own a*se.
Keep it up KCA. When you consider that EVERY criticism of Brereton on KCA has been validated with considerable evidence, just proves that the NACC is beyond Brereton’s integrity level. He may be capable, but he is enabling the wrong people with his dithering, showing that he is totally unfit for the role.
He needs to go i.e. sack him!
He’s capable…of burying criminal conduct 6 feet under. Labor saw what he did with the Afghanistan war crimes Inquiry and thought ‘Prefect – that’s our guy for the upcoming NACC.’
The lines between incompetent / lack of will / corruption have become very blurred.
When the public lacks confidence in the officials appointed to protect us from powerful people, the system is corrupt.
I make a complaint about him and ask when he is going to be fired for his law breaking, corruption and fraud about once a month.
Does this mean that His Honour reads this blog? Does he subscribe too?
