Lawyers Mark Leibler and Jeremy Leibler have been using social media to menace, harass and offend supporters of Palestine while at the same time Australia is introducing new hate speech laws.
The Leiblers are high profile Jews and the new hate speech laws have been largely driven by the Jewish community so the Leiblers would be aware of the new hate speech laws and being lawyers, they would understand the laws perfectly.
Below is a post on Twitter (X) by Mark Leibler and a few of the comments his post received and then a post by Jeremy Leibler and some of the comments he received and then a letter the Jewish Council of Australia published on their website.
On Mark Leibler’s Twitter page it says, “Senior Australian tax lawyer and corporate strategist, with a strong commitment to social justice and reconciliation.”
At 10:11 PM on the 8th of February 2025 Mark Leibler posted the below message on Twitter which has so far had 378,000 views:
“Nothing, but nothing, is worse than those Jews who level totally unfounded allegations of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the State of Israel. They are repulsive and revolting human beings. Their relatives who were murdered by the Nazis – the role models for Hamas – will undoubtedly be turning in their graves. Their avowed anti Zionism is clearly no more than a cover for the reality that they are vicious antisemites.” (Click here to see on Twitter)

Comment 1: Unless the new hate speech laws have some sort of exception for Zionists then Mr Leibler should be locked up for this vile antisemitism against Jewish people.
Comment 2: Can’t wait for your mandatory sentence to be imposed for what clearly is a hate crime … no doubt some ethical Jewish anti-Zionist individual(s) or group(s) will pursue this
Comment 3: The Nazis said what you’re saying. Are you saying that the holocaust was just propaganda. Look in the mirror oh evil one.
Comment 4: People of Jewish faith who are willing to speak out against the INCREDIBLY WELL DOCUMENTED genocide being conducted by Israel are braver, and more aligned to their faith than any bullying Zionist thug will ever be.

At 2:03 PM on the 12th of February 2025 Jeremy Leibler posted the below message on Twitter which has so far had 36,000 views:
“Instead of creating “safe rooms” for Jewish students, perhaps @Macquarie_Uni should consider making the rest of campus unsafe for antisemites. Comment 1: I’m not sure publicly calling for a person to feel unsafe at their place of employment is the way I’d go about getting my point across, but I guess it’s more about outrage baiting than reality for a Zionist like you, isn’t it…

The Jewish Council of Australia sent the below letter to the federal Minister for Education Jason Clare:

Dear Minister Clare,
The Jewish Council urges you to reject the coordinated and malicious campaigns by Israel lobby groups to interfere with the academic freedom of Palestinian and First Nations scholars.
We write to you in response to the campaigns being run by various Israel lobby groups to silence the voices of Palestinians and others who speak out against Israel’s atrocities. As a group of Jewish academics, lawyers, writers and teachers, who represent a significant and growing number of Jewish people in Australia, we urge you not to cave to these campaigns which are anti-democratic, racist in nature, and based on the deliberate spreading of misinformation.
We are particularly concerned by comments made by you that you would investigate award-winning Palestinian academic Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah’s Australian Research Centre (ARC) Grant. This would represent severe political interference into ARC — something you have previously cautioned against.
We also raise concerns regarding the coordinated attempts to bully and exert pressure against other academics who write on issues of racism and in regard to Palestine, including First Nations Professor Chelsea Watego and the First Nations-led Carumba Institute at the Queensland University of Technology. We note that at a recent Senate Inquiry hearing Professor Watego was falsely represented as antisemitic in ways that are extremely damaging to her work opposing racism against First Nations peoples.
Any political or institutional action taken against academics, at the behest of Israel lobby groups and Murdoch press smear campaigns, would represent a severe intrusion into all of our rights to free speech and academic freedom. The campaigns run by the Israel lobby against those who speak out against Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians are designed to intimidate individuals into silence. In particular, they are designed to erase Palestinian voices from public discourse.
Reputable human rights organisations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have found that Israel has committed acts of genocide against Palestinians. Groups which have spent the last 16 months lobbying for the continuation of Israel’s genocidal war should not be taken seriously by anyone as experts on racism or antisemitism. Now, more than ever, we need to listen to the voices of Palestinian and Aboriginal academics who have been engaged in scholarship which exposes the structures which have enabled Israel’s actions to continue.
It is incumbent on all politicians, Universities and others receiving pressure from Israel lobby groups to not only resist these attacks on the intellectual freedom and academic integrity of individuals, but further, to condemn the racist, reactionary and divisive campaign which produces them. Anything less will be a capitulation to the most corrosively anti-intellectual forces in Australian society, which will harm not only Palestinian and First Nations academics, but the entire University sector.
We would urge you, along with university leaders and the ARC to reject the anti-democratic, racist and insidious attacks against these academics and all other academics who speak out against Israel’s atrocities. Universities are a key line of defense against rising racism and fascism around the world and we must be steadfast in guarding their academic freedom and independence.

For Mark and Jeremy Leibler to say what they have on social media, as per above, is disgusting but Jeremy has gone further by naming Randa Abdel-Fattah as someone who should be made to feel “unsafe” at her place of work.
Jeremy Leibler should charged by the police for breaching the Criminal Code Act 1995 – section 474.17 Using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence which has a maximum penalty of 3 years jail.

We live in strange times. We’ve gone from a relatively law abiding nation to one which ignores international law, supports a genocide of an oppressed, coralled, unarmed population, suppressing the rights of the majority in favour of a renegade few. It’s been coming for a while. Perhaps since legitimate asylum seekers were treated as criminals, locked up and stripped of human rights, despite Australia being a signatory of the UN Human Rights Commission. Australians can never again claim the high road over the US.
We have always been that nation but previously the government enjoyed full narrative control. Now that narrative control is gone, we see ourselves for the lazy psuedo intellectuals we really are. We also see the hands of the controllers that were previously hidden.
Odds are weak Minister Clare will be plain Mr Clare before long, obvious whose cause he represents. Amended version of McCarthyism is alive and going well..how blinded is society under grand ruler Murdoch and Co..
Last census, in secular Australia, with its secular laws! 40% of Australians stated, “No Religion” on their census form. When are those 40% of secular Australians going to get some actual secular protection from these religious fundamentalist, that seem to becoming more and more unhinged, aggressive, intimidating, harassing, demanding enforcement, of what those secular 40% of Australians, consider to be forcibly indoctrinated irrational primitive contrived superstitious beliefs? Many of us are looking on at this latest religious fundamentalist try on, like some modern day attempt to implement heresy and blasphemy laws in our secular country. Hows section 116 of the constitution hold up against this latest religious fundamentalist nonsense, do we secular, “Unbelievers and apostates” run the risk of being prosecuted for laughing at how ridiculous this contrived nonsense actually is?

Section 116 bans any religious requirement as a condition of public office, including for MPs. The Israeli government has repeatedly made clear that the territory of Israel was given to it by God 3000 years ago with the divine instruction to subjugate or kill the previous owners of the land. That’s a religious belief claim. In refusing to acknowledge the civil and UN confirmed Palestinian claims to territory they have lived in for generations the Australian government is implicitly endorsing Israel’s exclusive claim to Palestine land which is based directly on religion and an Israeli right to conduct violence and genocide to achieve this. The government has no authority to require that MPs subscribe to this view. Not content with depriving MPs of their rights to refuse religion it is now requiring that private citizens, local councils and universities hold and publicly affirm those Israeli religious beliefs as superseding international law. It’s a contemptible disgrace. My vote will place Labor and Liberals last over this issue.

Multiple times in the Australian media I have heard peace protests, or encampments on Universities, described as “VIOLENT” when as far as I am aware the only violence has been by a large group of Melbourne Zionist men who violently attacked a peace camp at a Melbourne Uni with TOTAL IMPUNITY.
Likewise all the peace/anti genocide protests that I am aware of have been attended to non Zionist Jewish Australians. But you wont here that fact in the Murdoch press our or Parliament.
Now we hear that yet another Australian Arts institution has caved to the Zionists by the Australian National Gallery insisting the Palestinian flag be covered up TWICE before an artwork that included multiple other flags flags could be exhibited.
