South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas has continued to defame Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah even after he would have been told his public statements putting her in the same category as the Bondi shooters was highly defamatory and even after he was sent a defamation Concerns Notice by Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah’s lawyers.
It either means Malinauskas is talking tough, trying not to give away that he wants to settle the matter, or Malinauskas is planning to play the risky legal game of outspending the opponent knowing the opponent has limited funds and can’t gamble on an expensive legal battle.
This article is a follow-up to my previous article (12/1/26) titled “Zionist Jews Mark Leibler and Jeremy Leibler have Palestinian-Australian Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah sacked from Adelaide Writers’ Week” which has all the background information for this article.
In the below video Premier Peter Malinauskas (Tuesday 13/1/26) defames Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah again, says he is standing by board and the Director of Writer’s Week and says it was their decision to withdraw Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah’s invitation to the writer’s festival.
But Malinauskas doesn’t mention the board and the Director of Writer’s Week all resigned because of his lies. He says in the video:
“Can you imagine if a far-right Zionist walked into a Sydney Mosque and murdered 15 people?” “Can you imagine that as premier of this state, I would actively support a far-right Zionist going to writers’ week and speaking hateful rhetoric towards Islamic people? Of course I wouldn’t.
“The reverse is happening in this instance, and I’m not going to support that either, and that’s a reasonable position for me to have.”
In the below video (Tuesday 13/1/26) on the ABC’s 7.30 Report, Premier Peter Malinauskas sheds some crocodile tears and Louise Adler, who was the Director of the Adelaide Writer’s Week, responds.
Below is a message posted by Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah on Wednesday (14/1/26) regarding her defamation Concerns Notice sent to Premier Peter Malinauskas. Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah references the public statement Malinauskas made in the first video above.

Criminal defamation
Premier Peter Malinauskas has continued to defame Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah by continually linking her to the Bondi Shooting which she had nothing to do with. Malinauskas is doing it on purpose and he has gone way past civil defamation and is now committing criminal defamation and he should be charged.
An example of the various criminal defamation laws around the country is below:
CRIMES ACT 1900 – SECT 529 (Click here to see the full section)
Criminal defamation
529 Criminal defamation
(1) Common law misdemeanour of criminal libel abolished The common law misdemeanour of criminal libel remains abolished.
(2) Blasphemous, seditious or obscene libel not affected Subsection (1) does not affect the law relating to blasphemous, seditious or obscene libel.
(3) Offence of criminal defamation A person who, without lawful excuse, publishes matter defamatory of another living person (the
“victim” )–
(a) knowing the matter to be false, and
(b) with intent to cause serious harm to the victim or any other person or being reckless as to whether such harm is caused, is guilty of an offence.
: Maximum penalty–3 years imprisonment.
(4) Lawful excuse A defendant in proceedings for an offence under this section has a lawful excuse for the publication of defamatory matter about the victim if, and only if, the defendant would, having regard only to the circumstances happening before or at the time of the publication, have had a defence for the publication if the victim had brought civil proceedings for defamation against the defendant.
The below video is from Wednesday (14/1/26) which is almost a week after the defamation of Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah started by the Adelaide Festival Board and Premier Peter Malinauskas and after Malinauskas received a defamation Concerns Notice from Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah’s lawyers. But as you will see in the video Peter Malinauskas continues to defame Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah.
Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah has potentially at least 2 aces up her sleeve.
The first would be to go down the path of making a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission for Racial discrimination which is an open and shut case given the admissions already made in the public statements by the Adelaide Festival Board and Premier Peter Malinauskas.
The second possible ace would be to crowd fund legal fees and given the nature of the matter and national interest from the public she would likely raise sufficient funds to cover all costs.
The last time senior management buckled to the demands of the Israel lobby it cost senior management at the ABC their positions.
Premier Peter Malinauskas buckling to the demands of the Israel lobby has already cost the Adelaide Writer’s Week revenue for the state and will likely cost plenty more before the fallout stops which could last years in the courts.
As I was about to publish this article Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah has posted a video on “X” as per below saying the Adelaide Festival has apologised unreservedly. (Click here to see the apology)
With the Adelaide Festival apologising unreservedly, Premier Peter Malinauskas doesn’t have a lot of room to move and should settle the matter fast.
Admin: Seven weeks ago, I launched a campaign with a simple goal: find 200 new monthly supporters so I can keep doing this work as a fully independent journalist, running this site and the YouTube channel without corporate backing or paywalls.
Since then, 80 wonderful people have stepped up and become monthly supporters. That’s huge, thank you!
We’re now at 120 to go.
If you’ve been enjoying the work and aren’t yet supporting monthly, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider joining them. Here’s the situation:
Like most independent journalists, I’m basically a one-person small business. Right now a lot of us are feeling the squeeze, just like many small businesses and households are. To stay afloat and keep bringing you the reporting I do, I need roughly 200 more people chipping in whatever they can comfortably afford each month.
Anything from $3 to $100 (or whatever works for your budget) makes a real difference. There’s no lock-in, you can cancel or adjust anytime.
If that feels doable for you right now, you can see all the options on the donations page by clicking here.
Your support, whether it’s a monthly donation, a one-time donation, or just sharing the work, is what keeps independent voices like this one alive.

Very poor show from the Premier
The SA Premier Mal-adroit, even with arguably received Attorney General dpt advice one would guess is telling him to STFU, demonstrates how powerful the Israeli lobby is. He’s maintaining his stance of false equivalence for one reason only. It looks good to Israeli defenders. It’s his admission of where power lays in our society. The Labor pretty boys like Mal-adroit and Minns are show pony’s only concerned with power. That’s why they only listen to those with power – Israeli lobbyists and Murdoch. The Australian Labor Party stands for justice like Murdoch stands for community empathy. Well if voting makes you somewhat accountable it looks like the Greens are getting stronger by the day.
I also published a video version (Podcast) of the above article on Wednesday (14/1/26) on the Kangaroo Court of Australia YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL-huBBHNRc
He’s either not the sharpest tool in the shed or just captive to the right (he’s a tertiary educated career polio).
Or are they synonymous?
Israeli Zionists are Slaughtering an entire population in Gaza.
Australian Zionist jews support this genocide and many have recently been committing war-crimes in the IDF , they come here to avoid consequences of their crimes and it is the duty of all decent Australians to call them out and put them on trial and then deport them, these criminals must not be protected from or by our laws.
And Ken what is your learned view on what Australians should do as to Islamist terrorists such as Lindt Cafe Mon Haron Monis 2 dead many injured
Accountant Curtis Cheng shot dead by 15 year old Islamist groomed boy
The current Bondi father and son murderers.
There has been no similar acts carried out in Australia by those of Jewish bacground or under instruction of same
Lets solve the problems on our own shores before instructing Israel on what it should or should not do.
Damian, Australian Zionists, through their various lobby groups and backed by Netanyahu, have no problem instructing Australians how to think, feel and behave. ‘those of Jewish background’ are doing most of their murdering in Gaza and the West Bank. Unfortunately, many Australian arms firms are facilitating this murder by sending arms to Israel with the blessing of Australian politicians – most of them forgetting, or ignoring, that these actions will have consequences on the people of Australia.
I totally agree with Damian Wilson.
And Ken, those Australian Zionist Jews who were born and raised in Australia didn’t “come here to avoid consequences of their crimes.” By all means “call them out” for their opinions but what exactly do you wish to charge them with in order to put them on trial?
As for advocating Australian citizens should be deported, even those who were born here, that’s over the top. You don’t even know if any of those you wish to deport have dual citizenship.
They do not advertise what they do behind the scenes. Israel contains War Criminals. Maybe you need to see some of those Limbless children left to starve in Gaza?
In June 2025 CNN confirmed that Israel had been arming criminal gangs in Gaza against Hamas and the Palestinian population.
hxxps://edition.cnn.com/2025/06/06/middleeast/israel-arming-hamas-rivals-gaza-intl
Following the Bondi terror shootings Benjamin Netanyahu excoriated Anthony Albanese for supposed anti-Semitism: Gaza peace marches and alleged support for ISIS. If Albanese had handed weapons to these alleged ISIS supporters that criticism would be deserved but he never did. Yet just six months earlier Netanyahu did something similar: he gave weapons to criminal gangs in Gaza, the same gangs who had been hijacking relief supply convoys intended for the Palestinian people and medical centres. This is a heavily populated Palestinian enclave with high a likelihood of civilian casualties. But there was no protection for civilians here. Over 450 Palestinians have been killed since the Hamas-Israel ceasefire has been in place, almost all from Israeli shootings. But to mention these criminal acts is to engage in anti-Semitic “hate speech.” This criminalization of free speech is set to be the law of the land. Children, and university professors, are to be told what they can see, think or say about crimes committed elsewhere.
Hi, They have hate preachers coming from Israel as well to spread this Israeli position here. These should be banned as well. The Author mentions also these two Zionists who were behind the discrimination against Dr. Randa. They should be charged as well. The evidence is there.
Disclaimer: I am expressing my personal opinion based on publicly reported information from news articles and videos. This is not a statement of fact about legal guilt or intent.
Am I to understand this correctly – Premier Peter Malinauskas is linking Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah to the Bondi shootings, even after being formally warned it’s defamatory and receiving a defamation Concerns Notice from her lawyers?
If so, he’s not leading a state; he’s throwing a public tantrum with a microphone, thinking bluster and political posturing can replace common sense and accountability.
He publicly asked audiences to imagine a far-right Zionist murdering 15 people in a Sydney mosque and implied Dr Abdel-Fattah is the reverse scenario – despite her having no involvement whatsoever. This is seemingly reckless, tone-deaf posturing has already forced the Adelaide Writers’ Week board and director to resign, cost the festival revenue, and embarrassed South Australia nationally.
Premier Malinauskas might think he’s “tough” like a pub brawler in the locker room, but criminal defamation laws don’t care about AFL-style tantrums. At this point, the courtroom – not political spin – is where reality will catch up with him.
Totally!!! He’s opened his big mouth and screwed over not only someone’s reputation, a much loved festival, but also lost millions for businesses around the state, all to appease his Zionist backers. Sue him to hell and back.
Like every other comment so far, all against Malinauskis, I agree with all of them.
He has behaved disgracefully, and I think his tenure is over. He needs to stand down. His overwhelming, obvious hatred of Dr Abdel-Fattah is unpleasant to listen to and read about.
But it is not just Malinauskis who’s been ‘managed’ by the Zionist Jews. Albanese, Wong, Minns , and I’m sure others, have all been manipulated very effectively.
Im disgusted that we’ve got such weak leaders at the helm.
I bet Ley and others in her tribe are killing themselves laughing at how easily the Labor lot have been able to be molded by the Zionists.
They are all backing the wrong side and are too stupid and lacking in moral fibre to realise they are very wrong.
This needs to be corrected soon, to reduce the power of this particularly heinous group, before its too late.
My utmost admiration to Dr Abdel-Fattah for standing her ground.
Sussan Ley has been fully captured by the Zionist lobby. Before the Royal Commission was announced she was arguing publicly that the commission should include a Jewish person as one of its presiding officers, a totally unlawful action. And that the primary purpose should be the removal of anti-Semitic hate speech as espoused by Zionist forces. Her subsequent denunciations of the Albanese government are just a self-serving exercise, typical of her superficial and bankrupt policy stances.
I couldn’t agree more. Malinauskas has passed on his support of Zionists many times but somehow without any kind of accountability. I hope this time he’s taught a lesson.
Thanks Kangaroo Court of Australia .I and millions of Australians will support Randa on this defamation complaint against Malinauskas . @tonykevin
I think it should be extended to those who put Malinauskas up to it as well.
With regard to the legal costs issue, I noted Malinauskas, on 7.30, was equivocal with respect to the issue of whether he was making his comments as a private citizen or as the Premier.
I believe if he were to argue the latter, that he could attempt to have Parliament ( ie taxpayers) cover his legal costs.
I would like to express my continued admiration for Louise Adler & her pricipled stance in this fiasco. It must take great courage to distance herself from AIJAC,AZF & all the other Zionist/Israel lobby groups. I doubt they will man up & pay for the enormous damage they have done.
I totally agree that Peter Malinauskas needs to stand down and is unfit for Premier of any State. He has obviously misread the room. Which, as Premier of a State that once had a reputation for liberal thinklng, Peter Malinauskas ought to have had a less petty and better educated, principled view on the right for Ms Abdel Fattah to speak her mind and sustain her view.
This is Australia in 2026…cost of living driving Australians our of their homes by rents, out of country due to lack of industry, fairness is gone, while we look here how the “literaty” are locking horns for matters which have nothing to do with our nation,,events from far way places, with disputes lasting thousand of years,,hate,
Australia cannot solve them ,, It looks that the pleasure to use our legal system for financial benefit , is the present game in town.
