Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has breached his own newly legislated hate speech laws, which carries a sentence of up to 2 years jail, with the help of federal LNP Senator James McGrath who is also guilty of the crime.
The case against federal Liberal National Party (LNP) Senator James McGrath is open-and-shut and indefensible. While the case against Queensland Premier David Crisafulli is strong he might deny all knowledge which might be enough to get him off the hook.
It must be remembered that at least 22 people have now been charged in Queensland with breaching the new hate speech laws by publicly saying the alleged antisemitic phrase “From the river to the sea”, verbally and in written format, and politicians are not exempt so they can promote themselves and their political party.
Below is a picture / poster that Senator James McGrath published on the 9th of February 2026 as a cover picture for a post on Facebook.
As you can see, the picture / poster has one purpose and that is to promote the LNP and promote James McGrath. The picture / poster also publishes the banned phrase “From the river to the sea” which is illegal and a crime in Queensland.
James McGrath is a federal Senator and has no relationship with the Queensland state government on a day to day basis. There is no legal reason, educational reason nor any other reason for James McGrath to ever mention the words “From the river to the sea” and he should be charged immediately.
Queensland Premier David Crisafulli is in the above poster, which is used to help promote James McGrath’s poster, and David Crisafulli should also be charged.
It must be conceded that if David Crisafulli can provide a sworn affidavit that he knew nothing about the poster it might be difficult to prove otherwise. But I find it hard to see how David Crisafulli would not have known or at the very least his staff would have known.
Given James McGrath still has the poster on his Facebook page, and has done since the 9th of February 2026, the crime is still being committed and Premier David Crisafulli has an obligation to put a stop to it.
The specific law, “CRIMINAL CODE 1899 – SECT 52DA Recital, distribution, publication or display of prohibited expressions” does have certain exceptions for people to say the words “From the river to the sea”.
For example, if it’s said “for a genuine artistic, religious, educational, historical, legal or law enforcement purpose”.
And the media, such as this website and this article, are protected if they report it “for a purpose that is in the public interest” such as “publication of a fair and accurate report of an event or matter of public interest” and/or “a genuine political or other genuine public dispute or issue carried on in the public interest”.
Senator James McGrath meets none of the criteria to be exempt from the new laws nor does Premier David Crisafulli.
As it turns out, Senator James McGrath is a big fan of Israel and the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council published the below their Facebook page on the 9th of September 2022:
“Australian senator James McGrath (LNP, QLD) – who recently travelled to Israel with AIJAC – spoke to the Senate about Israel’s strong democratic principles” with the below picture attached:
James McGrath is a federal Australian Senator, but after visiting Israel in 2022, he went on a rant in the Senate pushing propaganda for Israel which I think is relevant to his current crime given saying “From the river to the sea” is meant to be antisemitic.
I published a video on Tuesday (21/4/26) about the 22 people who have been charged with the new hate speech laws titled “Jewish leader links Qld hate speech laws to criticism of Israel and Zionism” as per below. (I also published a video version of this article: Click here to watch)
The 22 people who have been charged should all subpoena Senator James McGrath and Premier David Crisafulli and question them about James McGrath’s picture / poster as per above.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander and people should consider making a compliant to the police about Senator James McGrath and Premier David Crisafulli breaching the hate speech laws as per above.
To make a complaint to the Qld police – call Policelink at 131 444, or use the online reporting forms, or visit a local station. Anonymous reports can be made via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
I have no doubt that at some point at least one of the 22 people charged will end up in the High Court of Australia who will quash the new laws.

“From the River to the Sea,” usage of the phrase by Zionists predates the establishment of Israel in 1948.
1920s: Revisionist Zionism led by Ze’ev Jabotinsky, spoke of establishing a Jewish state in all of Palestine and a song which “The Jordan has two banks; this one is ours, and the other one too,” He sought restoration of what it called Eretz Yisrael, the ancient land of Israel. This meant “both sides of the Jordan,” in other words, all of The Palestine Mandate.
During World War II Jabotinsky declared a cease-fire in the fight against Britain. Avram Stern broke with him and founded Lehi, or the Stern Gang as it came to be known. The Lehi, even more extremist than the Irgun, claiming all the land between the Nile and the Euphrates as belonging to the Jews… Eretz Yisrael,
Stern sought alliance with the Nazis, “The Ankara Document” is proof, as they shared an enemy in Britain and because Stern believed as Hitler did in “Ein Volk, Ein Reich” and “Lebensraum”,
Proposal of the National Military Organization (Irgun Zvai Leumi) Concerning the Solution of the Jewish Question in Europe and the Participation of the NMO in the War on the side of Germany.
Not only sentiments but also in actions carried on into the1980s by Meir Kahane, a right wing Jewish terrorist
By 1977 It had appeared in an election manifesto of Likud, which stated that “between the sea and the Jordan there will be only Israeli sovereignty.
The current ideology of Israel Government is rooted in Revisionist Zionism, seeking the entire territory of what was The Palestine Mandate as well, it appears, portions of SYria ns Lebanon.
A similar phrase came into use concerning Palestine only in the 1960s
And now…
Greater Israel: an Ongoing Expansion Plan for the Middle East and North Africa
by Ecaterina MAŢOI
6 July 2024
The recent picture of an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldier with a Greater Israel badge on the uniform provoked outrage in Arab countries (Middle East Monitor, 2024). The promised land of Israel, as described in the badge photo, includes regions from the Nile to the Euphrates, from Medina to Lebanon, including territories from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, entire Jordan, and Occupied Palestinian territories. Why it sparked outrage, however, is not clear: the map reflects Theodor Herzl’s more than a century old statement: “Discussed with Bodenheimer the demands we will make. Area: from the Brook of Egypt to the Euphrates…” (Herzl, Ed. Patai, & Transl. Zohn, 1960, p. 711), and with newer instances of this territorial expansion desiderate, expressed by Oded Yinon plan and Saul B. Cohen’s geopolitical concepts, among others, and the aggressive stance against Israel’s neighbors and regional countries. Hence, it is probably not the existence of the plan that sparked outrage, but its appearance in the broader social media space.

Seriously, how in the hell can that be hate speach, the wold has gone mad.
Immense stoopidity on behalf of all parties. It’s merely a case of semantics.. arrests for dancing in the streets to John Farnham’s song would be ludicrous.. the recorded words of that song are ..”like a river to the sea..”. Meaning the love of two people together flows harmoniously in one direction to a specific place.. The protesters, the new ‘law’ and those who declared it are lacking in depth of thought. We are dealing with nonsensical people whom we assume are damaged in their pre-frontal lobe.!!
