How Anthony Albanese’s office secretly co-authors media stories for Nine, Seven, Ten and News Corp etc

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was exposed controlling Canberra journalists, to publish his propaganda, on Media Watch on Monday (8/9/25) but that is only half the story.

What is even more disturbing, is that Albanese also controls Australia’s old media CEOs and Directors by keeping them cashed up via the News Media Bargaining Code, which shakes down global tech platforms such as Google and Facebook for hundreds of millions of dollars.

As it currently stands, Anthony Albanese’s office is in effect co-authoring many articles being published, in writing and on TV, via Australia’s old media.

It’s pure political propaganda which is badged with the old media’s logos and then fed to the public as news and there is a paper trail exposed by Media Watch which proves it.

I will outline Albanese’s control of Media CEOs and then show Albanese’s control of Canberra journalists as exposed by Media Watch.

Albanese and his control of old media CEOs and Directors

On Tuesday (2/9/25) the Prime Minster Anthony Albanese, the leaders of Seven, Nine and Ten, and a who’s who of TV talent, showed up at Parliament House for an event hosted by Free TV, “which represents the interests of free-to-air commercial broadcasters, and is lobbying the government for five key changes to current legislation and government support.

The Mumbrella website published an article (3/9/25) titled “‘My government has got your back and we will not give in to the platforms’: Albo tells TV networks he’s picked a side” which starts off:

Prime minister Anthony Albanese has assured Australia’s TV networks that the government will stand up for them in their battle with the global platforms.

Speaking at a showcase event held at Parliament House in Canberra last night, Albanese told the room full of free-to-air TV executives: “My government has your back. We will not give in to some of the platforms when the pressure comes on, which it will, over everything from the Media Bargaining Code to other things including positioning when people turn on their TVs, anti-siphoning laws.”

A shopping list of the TV industry’s five key policy requests:

  1. To no longer have to pay to access public broadcast spectrum “which costs the industry collectively $50 million each year”.
  2. To revisit the updated anti-siphoning legislation.
  3. More help for regional broadcasting.
  4. Ensuring any betting ad bans apply to all media, and that broadcasters get extra financial assistance.
  5. A new tax policy offering media companies a tax perk for news jobs.

Communications minister Annika Wells, who also spoke at the event, was asked by Mumbrella about three of the industry’s requests around reducing the licence fee, revisiting the anti-siphoning law and getting on with the News Bargaining Incentive. She told Mumbrella: “I’m pleased to say we’re working on all these things.” (Click here to read more)

B&T website published an article (3/9/25) titled “Seven, Nine & Ten Bosses Share Top Priorities & Welcome Albo’s ‘We’ve Got Your Back’ Pledge” which starts off:

Australia’s free-to-air commercial TV bosses have praised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s promise that the government would support the commercial TV industry and protect its interests against global tech platforms. (Click here to read more)

As you can see above, the old media TV networks, with Nine and Seven also owning newspapers, are lobbying the government heavily for political decisions in their favour, which can and will have a huge impact on their finances and profitability, and possibly survival as a going concern in the future.

Albanese has made it very clear that he will support the TV Networks, but of course Albanese wants something in return, and that is where we come to Albanese’s office being exposed for directing journalists on what they can and can’t say and when.

Albo’s control of old media Canberra journalists

On Monday (8/9/25) the ABC’s Media Watch published a story titled “No journalism today” as per below. It shows how Albanese’s office directs Canberra journalists on what they can and can’t say on stories such as the kid’s social media ban.

Many, if not most, Canberra journalists are on “The Drip” where they are fed stories by the Prime Minister’s office and if they don’t fall into line they can be booted from “The Drip” which makes their lives as journalists harder. (At the 2.45-minute mark on the below video “The Drip” is referred to as “The Drop”)

In the above Media Watch video, the host Linton Besser, says the journalists should ignore instructions for stories from the Prime Minister’s office.

But as I show above, the CEOs of the media companies are so desperate to get financial support from the Prime Minister, it is the CEOs that would be telling journalists to keep the Prime Minister and his office happy with their reporting and to do whatever the Prime Minister’s office says to do.

Conclusion

So, next time you read or watch the old media report the latest announcements from the Prime Minister or government remember that the report was likely co-authored by Anthony Albanese’s office and any expert opinion supporting the announcement was also likely supplied by Albanese’s office.

Yes, I know I am biased, but the above is why new media like this website and the Kangaroo Court of Australia YouTube channel are so important.

  1. Wow…Is there anybody out there who STILL trusts Albanese or either of the two majors? Could this be regarded as corruption? It certainly is corruption of the news and the press.

    • This is highly damaging to the national interest and Albanese should not get his way at any expense to silence the media. Labor is behaving more and more like its CCP masters, banning media it dislikes, censoring words it dislikes, and now Labor is also trying to thwart FOI requests.
Albanese is hiding information from the public more than the Morrison government despite campaigning on a platform of integrity, frustrating a critical accountability mechanism intended to maintain faith in bureaucrats and keep politicians honest.
The culture of secrecy with the Albanese Labor government has sunk to its worst point and we have no opposition to bring Albanese back to the Australian way and not the Beijing communist way.

  2. Australia was once a 1st rate country, now run into the ground by 2nd and 3rd rate stooges and morons.

  3. Been obvious for some time that Albonese cannot be trusted. AUKUS (fingers in the till) and more particularly NACC where he is hiding corruption from the public.

  4. Good, as an amateur ‘ham’ radio operator, if they don;t have to pay for raadio spectrum for TV or radio broadcasting, then nor do I and I’ll open up my own radio and TV station.

They don;t really think things thru. See, whilst I am allowed on amateur ‘ham’ radio frequencies, I can’t broadcast on the AM/FM/DAB+ radio broadcast bands nor the TV radio bands as I can;t afford the fees. If there’s no fee, then I’m broadcasting too, and so can you Shane.

Not sharpest tools in the shed.
