Labor Party supporters, propagandists, trolls and politicians are attacking Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, highlighting their failings and corruption, but all they are doing is giving One Nation free promotion.
There are key 2 reasons for that. One is that the Labor Party are not in a position to attack any other political party for failings and corruption given Labor’s performance over the last 4 years.
And two, by the Labor Party and its supporters focusing a lot of their attack on Pauline Hanson and One Nation, they are signalling to voters that One Nation is the alternate government which is a bonus for One Nation.
If the Labor Party tries to make corruption a key election issue, it is suicide for them, given they set up a fake National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to hide corruption and it doesn’t get any more corrupt than that, and the public know it.
The last thing the Labor Party should want is voters comparing One Nation’s failings and corruption to Labor’s, because it isn’t pretty.
In the below video, Labor Party propagandist Jordan Shanks, aka Friendlyjordies, puts the focus on Gina Rinehart donating $millions to One Nation and dark money being raised by One Nation.
But Jordan Shanks, aka Friendlyjordies, has been paid big dollars himself from Labor Party supporters and specifically money directly from former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, which likely continues today.
So, the attacks by Jordan Shanks against Pauline Hanson and One Nation are only an embarrassment for the Labor Party and do no damage to One Nation. It must be noted Jordan Shanks wouldn’t care because his motivation is to promote himself first and foremost.
On the 21st of August 2025, I published an article titled “Sugar Daddy Kevin Rudd running a Labor Party smear unit with his sugar baby Friendlyjordies,” which shows the money trail from Kevin Rudd and his supporters to Jordan Shanks’ back account. The article starts off:
Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd unleashed a tsunami on social media raising money for his sugar baby Jordan Shanks, aka YouTuber Friendlyjordies, on the 18th of June, 2021. Cash would have started flowing into Shanks’ bank account in a massive way.
In return, Shanks pushes lies and propaganda for Kevin Rudd and the Labor Party, and Shanks’s grovelling praise for Kevin Rudd is at a level that makes it obvious he is being paid for it. (Click here to read more)
Jordan Shanks isn’t the only Labor Party supporter inadvertently helping to promote Pauline Hanson and One Nation.
Activist group GetUp!, whose campaigns regularly align with the Labor Party, tried to embarrass Pauline Hanson in Canberra on Wednesday (17/6/26) when she was giving a speech at the National Press Club.
As per the below picture, a banner unrolled saying, “I opposed a pay rise for workers, while I took a $100,000 pay rise for myself” as Pauline Hanson was giving her speech.

GetUp! has reportedly admitted they were behind the banner.
It is believed that David Sharaz, who is media and campaigns lead at Getup! and married to Brittany Higgins, was behind the banner stunt.
The Australian Federal Police are now investigating. The SMH reported:
The club said in a comment released at 5.20pm: “At time of writing, we understand he [Sharaz] is yet to be interviewed by the AFP. It appears that two persons entered the club building yesterday afternoon without permission and installed a separate drop-down screen in front of our media wall/light box.
“It is evident that a further person present during the address activated a remote device to trigger the unfurling of the coiled banner. David Sharaz was seen filming the incident on his phone and, after the banner had lowered, left abruptly. We understand that this is likely to form part of the AFP investigation. Because of Getup!’s National Press Club stunt, One Nation will now get days, weeks and months of free publicity for being a victim of dodgy conduct.
A lot is being written about the Liberal and National Party coalition and their failure to work out how to deal with One Nation, and the Labor Party is not doing any better.
Labor has proven that attacking Pauline Hanson and One Nation only helps them. Mostly because Labor and their supporters start their attacks from a position of weakness given their own dodgy history.
Admin: Twenty-nine weeks ago, I launched a campaign with a simple goal: find 200 new monthly supporters so I can keep doing this work as a fully independent journalist, running this website and the YouTube channel without corporate backing or paywalls.
Since then, 186 wonderful people have stepped up and become monthly supporters. That’s huge, thank you!
We’re now at 14 to go.
If you’ve been enjoying the work and aren’t yet supporting monthly, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider joining them. Here’s the situation:
Like most independent journalists, I’m basically a one-person small business. Right now, a lot of us are feeling the squeeze, just like many small businesses and households are. To stay afloat and keep bringing you the reporting I do, I need roughly 200 more people chipping in whatever they can comfortably afford each month.
Anything from $3 to $100 (or whatever works for your budget) makes a real difference. There’s no lock-in, you can cancel or adjust anytime.
If that feels doable for you right now, you can see all the options on the donations page by clicking here.
