Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group members Robert Goot, Nicky Stein, Deborah (Debbie) Wiener and Lindy Blashki and possibly many others should give evidence at the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion to explain why they stalked and harassed Antoinette Lattouf when she worked at the ABC, which resulted in the ABC sacking her.
There were, and possibly still are, 156 members of the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group so how many have relevant evidence is unknown so I would suggest they all get subpoenaed by the Royal Commission as witnesses.
I lived at Bondi Beach and Bondi for 13 years, from 2006 to 2019, which when added to surrounding suburbs has Sydney’s largest Jewish population, and I can tell you for a fact that the biggest cause of antisemitism in Australia is fighting in the Middle East between Israel, Palestine and numerous other countries.
So, it should be no surprise that antisemitism has grown, given the United Nations has found that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.
The second greatest driver of antisemitism in Australia, or very close to it, would be the various Israel-aligned groups, such as the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group, who are hunting people down to destroy their lives because they don’t like what they say.
The problem for these Israel-aligned groups, such as the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group, is that their actions have gained widespread media attention, and their disgraceful cowardly actions have been exposed in the national media for months and years.
A prime example is Antoinette Lattouf who was unlawfully sacked because ABC management caved to a coordinated frivolous and vexatious complaint campaign by pro-Israel lobbyists the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group.
Two other examples are writer Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah and Grace Tame.
The SMH reported on the 16th of January 2024:
The ABC sacked broadcaster Antoinette Lattouf after a high-level and co-ordinated letter-writing campaign from pro-Israel lobbyists that directly targeted the corporation’s chair, Ita Buttrose, and managing director David Anderson.
Dozens of leaked messages from a WhatsApp group called Lawyers for Israel show how members of the group repeatedly wrote to the ABC demanding Lattouf be sacked, and threatened legal action if she was not.
An ABC manager told Lattouf in the early afternoon of December 20 that she had been dismissed. Hours earlier, the WhatsApp group shared a letter from Buttrose saying she noted their concerns, and adding: “I have forwarded your email on to Chris Oliver-Taylor, the ABC’s chief content officer, who is dealing with this matter.”
The messages also reveal members of the group calling Lattouf’s lawyer, Josh Bornstein, who is Jewish, a “traiter” (sic).
The WhatsApp messages, obtained by this masthead, give an insight into how Lawyers for Israel used aggressive lobbying to try to exert influence at the ABC. A source with knowledge of events says the group was also involved in a campaign against the Sydney Theatre Company over a pro-Palestinian protest by some actors, but those messages had since been deleted.

A stream of letters were sent on her second day, and on the third day – the day she was sacked – one group member sent a message at 6.54am entitled “Action of the day: call to action”. As a side note, Melbourne barrister Deborah (Debbie) Wiener is also a columnist with The Australian who conspired with the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group to have Antionette Lattouf sacked by the ABC. Her bio says she has a deep interest in human rights and racism.

During the course of Antoinette Lattouf’s unlawful termination case, 9 members of the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group threatened legal action against the SMH, which took down most of the above screenshots.
The 2024 SMH article not only deleted the above screenshots but also deleted at least 4 references to Robert Goot, such as:
- “and that the deputy president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, Robert Goot, was actively involved in a discussion about having Lattouf dismissed.”
- “But the screenshots of the lawyers’ WhatsApp group show the council’s deputy president, Robert Goot, was feeding back intelligence from the ABC about Lattouf’s position, and then encouraging people to continue the campaign.” “I understand she will be gone from morning radio from Friday,” he wrote at 7.46am on December 20, the day Lattouf was sacked. Stein responded: “Friday is 3 days away – too long.”
- “Goot confirmed to the group that, according to his information from the ABC, Lattouf’s “stance on Israel” was the reason. Asked if the members of the group should continue lobbying, Goot replied: “Keep writing.””
- Asked about this conversation by this masthead, Goot acknowledged he had spoken to “someone at the ABC” but could not remember who. However, he said this did not constitute lobbying or co-ordinating a campaign. “Someone told me that they thought that Lattouf had overstepped the mark and would be disciplined, what does that have to do with my encouraging that course, or causing it to be brought about?” he said. “Alex [Ryvchin] has given you a bona fide response and my WhatsApp message doesn’t contradict it … I wasn’t egging them on.”
There was no legal basis to delete those paragraphs, so why were they deleted? To protect Robert Goot? To protect the Executive Council of Australian Jewry? Or to protect the co-CEO of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, Alex Ryvchin?
Nine female lawyers from the “Lawyers for Israel” WhatsApp group – Legal threats
The SMH published the above quoted article, with the screenshots of the Lawyers for Israel WhatsApp group comments in January 2024.
When the Antoinette Lattouf unlawful termination case against the ABC commenced in February 2025, the “9 female lawyers from the “Lawyers for Israel” WhatsApp group applied for and were granted suppression orders because their email complaints to the ABC, with their names and contact details, were part of the evidence filed in the matter and their lawyer said they would face harassment if their details were not suppressed.”
“The proposed suppression order was not opposed by Antoinette Lattouf and the ABC.”
The suppression orders were only against the parties in the case and only related to documents filed in the case.
The nine Lawyers for Israel, claimed via their lawyer, the suppression orders went further and they instituted contempt proceedings which they lost. I wrote at the time:

Their application was frivolous and vexatious, and what they were trying to do was weaponize contempt laws to silence Nine Entertainment and then go after other media and social media users, which could have included me and this website. (Click here to read more)

Submissions to the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion
The Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion cannot do its job if it doesn’t investigate all the major reasons for rises in antisemitism in Australia.
The Antoinette Lattouf unlawful termination case received national media coverage for almost 2 years and showed the “Lawyers for Israel” WhatsApp group stalking and harassing Antoinette Lattouf in her workplace because they don’t like her.
They caused her to be sacked and their conduct also caused nutters to threaten and harass Antoinette Lattouf and her family over a long period, including multiple death threats.
The Australian public was given a birds eye view on how the Israel lobby operate as a pack to destroy people and their lives.
To my knowledge no one from the “Lawyers for Israel” WhatsApp group has ever apologised to Antoinette Lattouf and her family.
Nor has any leaders in the Jewish community ever apologised to Antoinette Lattouf and her family even though those same Jewish leaders happily support members of the “Lawyers for Israel” WhatsApp group.
The Royal Commission should not only subpoena all the members of the “Lawyers for Israel” WhatsApp group but also ask some of their victims like Antoinette Lattouf, Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah and Grace Tame to give evidence.
Submissions for the Royal Commission close on Sunday the 14th of June 2026 and I will file this article as my submission.

It seems that the submissions are being curated by a legal firm with Zionist connections and no submissions by any individual or group who oppose Zionism or the ongoing genocide in Gaza are being accepted. Consequently, I imagine the Commission’s conclusions will be that antisemitism is rampant in Australia and fuelled by any person or group who protests about Israel’s ongoing slaughter in the Middle East. Its recommendations will include banning such protests and stiff jail sentences for anyone who publicly criticises Israel’s actions. Luckily, the Government very rarely follows up on the recommendations of its Royal Commissions.
Sadly any investigation into Jewish/Zionist negative effects on “social cohesion”,as exemplified in this article,just won’t happen. The usual suspects aided & abetted by the Royal Commissioner will make sure of that.

With so much pain in the world being directly caused by Israel I am increasingly beyond finding appropriate words to describe the actions of these people. Zionism is a poisonous, genocidal, lethal political cult that has no place in Australia.
UK Lawyers for Israel follows the same script. A pressure network masquerading as a principled legal body, intervening to intimidate institutions, silence critics, and reframe legitimate protest as something unlawful or hateful. It’s not about protecting communities; it’s about controlling the terms of debate.
The pattern is obvious: flood complaints, threaten legal consequences, distort context, and rely on institutional risk-aversion to do the rest. The result is a corrosive narrowing of public discourse, where speaking out on issues like Palestine becomes professionally or socially risky.
Call it what it is. Not impartial legal advocacy, but coordinated political lobbying dressed up in legal robes. If these groups were genuinely committed to justice, they’d defend free expression consistently, not only when it aligns with a particular geopolitical agenda.
None of these actions by pro-genocide cohorts would have any effect if it wasn’t for the fact Zionists hold our politicians in their pockets with a tight grip on their private parts. It’s through this means that they are able to punish pro-Palestinian activists and others by forcing law changes to suit their vile cause. Lawyers for Israel are doing a great job…of fostering anti-semitism when hate crimes have already risen so exponentially in the last several years that it has culminated in a terrorist attack killing 15 people. To them that was clearly just cannon fodder in the greater effort to destroy any semblance of respect and credibility for Jewish people in Australia, because all they have done is encourage violent attacks.
