So, is Murdoch now bribing Australian police given ABC journalist Mark Reddie has publicly accused the Australian Federal Police of giving special treatment to the News Corp paper Sydney’s The Daily Telegraph?
In the below video I cover Mark Reddie’s allegations against the AFP and there is also video of News Corp executive Rebekah Brooks admitting to paying British police for stories which is a crime. So, is News Corp now paying the Australian Federal Police?

Rupert Murdoch and News Corp have form on the board for paying police and government officials for stories

Questions that need to be answered
- Why is the Australian Federal Police giving special treatment to Murdoch’s News Corp?
- What is the benefit to the AFP or benefit to individual police officers at the AFP?
- Are AFP officers being paid as per the above video where News Corp executive Rebekah Brooks admits to paying British police for stories?
From the AFP website “The AFP Commissioner reports to the Attorney-General, the Hon Mark Dreyfus QC MP, who was appointed as Attorney-General on 1 June 2022.” It is Mark Dreyfus who should be having a public inquiry into why the AFP is in bed with Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
The Mark Reddie messages on Twitter received a lot of coverage with the first one being shared 947 times and liked 3570 times and as you can see it was also sent to the ABC’s Media Watch account.
ABC’s Media Watch show has stayed silent on the matter even though they could have covered the story on their program on Monday the 25th of July or on their Media Bites segment on the 28th of July. They didn’t even put it on their Twitter feed although Media Watch host Paul Barry did retweet Mark Reddie’s original message on Twitter on the 22nd of July which shows that Media Watch is aware of the story.
An ABC cover-up maybe? At the same time Media Watch, or any show at the ABC, could have been covering Murdoch’s News Corp getting special treatment from the AFP, Media Watch was promoting Sky News’ Andrew Bolt’s opinion on another matter on their Media Bites show on the 28th of July. With Andrew Bolt being one of Murdoch’s best known propagandists.
When an ABC journalist like Mark Reddie goes public with an allegation that the Australian Federal Police are giving favourable treatment to News Corp and the best the ABC can do is for Media Watch host Paul Barry to retweet Mark Reddie’s message it makes the ABC, Paul Barry and Media Watch look like they are complicit with News Corp.

As far as AFP is concerned, seperation of powers doesn’t exist, it has often been said AFP was an extension of the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister of then Home Affairs. With AFPs history of breaching metadata regulations as discovered by an investigation by the Commonwealth Ombudsman, nothing should surprise us as to the above suggestions involving Murdoch.
Spot on KCA. If the information is good enough to be given to News Corp, it should be available to all journalists, not select ones.
Now, I wonder if journo’s from the Daily Tele are being pre-briefed so they can be “on scene” for pics/footage of the drug bust and no other press so they get the “exclusive.”
It also then begs the question if other non-financial deals are in place such as to not report on other AFP matters (such as dodgy cops) in return for non-publication of stories that may make AFP look bad.
You know, the old “We’ll give you exclusive access to drug busts, this or that operation but in return please don’t report about “internal investigations” or something similar. It certainly begs the question.
IMHO, the reason police went to digital encrypted scanners wasn’t so criminals couldn’t hear them, it was to prevent some media from finding out and attending police operations. The encryption of these communications allowed the police to select which media outlets to advance warn so they could ‘be there’ for the ‘exclusive’ and exclude others in order to garner favourable coverage.
This is disgraceful. The AFP has seemed dodgy for a long time. Let’s hope the new government cracks down on them.

A few years ago I installed a small utility on my computer which blocks anything related to Rupert Moloch’s evil empire. I now also avoid anything ABC related because I firmly believe the old cadaver in waiting has corrupted “our” ABC with trojan horse former News Corpse hacks. And of course, the corrupt former Morrison Government aided and abetted by appointing their right wing mates to the ABC Board.
IMHO, a game show, it’s quite simple really … it’s just a matter of joining the dots … hours of endless fun. Let’s start:
AFP to? … Anyone? … Possibility?… Daily Telegraph ((News Corp Australia) NEXT: is anyone’s guess … again, IMHO, more about tangled webs and lots and lots of corrupt spiders and cockroaches scurrying about the place … hiding in dark places and under anything to escape scrutiny and eradication. Now what could we call this Game Show?
