Peter Dutton exposed the Liberal Party cover-up, to protect rapist Bruce Lehrmann, when he shot off his mouth supporting Senator Linda Reynolds on Tuesday (16/4/24). Dutton said rape survivor Brittany Higgins and her partner David Sharaz should settle Reynolds’ defamation case against them and apologise.

Yes, the same Linda Reynolds who knew Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins in 2019 but still supported Lehrmann at Lehrmann’s rape trial in 2022 by perjuring herself and coaching Lehrmann’s lawyers. Yes, the same Linda Reynolds who supported Lehrmann on national TV in 2023 on Channel 7’s Spotlight program even though she knew Bruce Lehrmann had raped Brittany Higgins and for good measure Linda Reynolds’ attacked Brittany Higgins during the interview.

Media are falsely claiming that Justice Michael Lee, in his judgment in the Bruce Lehrmann defamation case, has cleared the Liberal Party covering up Brittany Higgins’ rape.

All Justice Lee has done is looked at the evidence of the cover-up provided to Channel 10 by Brittany Higgins and her fiancé David Sharaz for Brittany’s interview on Channel 10’s The Project in February 2021. The most powerful evidence of the cover-up has come to light since then and was never looked at by Justice Lee as you will see below.

Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his office coordinated the cover-up

Almost all the evidence in the above video and associated article Justice Lee would have never seen when he handed down his judgment in the Bruce Lehrmann defamation matter. So Justice Lee was never in a position to judge on political interference.

In 2021 after Brittany Higgins went public Scott Morrison set up the Gaetjens Inquiry to cover-up who in his office knew about the rape and when they knew but his staff didn’t trust Morrison, so they refused to cooperate with the inquiry unless they had lawyers there to represent them.

Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown

Everyone in federal politics has known for a long time that Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins in 2019 yet some such as Linda Reynolds still supported Lehrmann and attacked Brittany Higgins.

To suggest that Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown did not know in March / April 2019 that Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins is not believable in any shape or form. The key evidence that Justice Lee used to find Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins was already known to Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown in 2019.

Even Justice Lee in his judgment said Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown advised Brittany Higgins to go to the police. What for? Because they obviously believed a crime had been committed and that crime was rape.

After the evidence of former Channel 7 employee Taylor Auerbach, on the 4th and 5th of April 2024, we now know that Linda Reynolds had a meeting with Fiona Brown and former Assistant AFP Commissioner Leanne Close, “at around 8:30am on Thursday 4 April 2019”, where the didn’t just discuss the rape but “how” Brittany Higgins had been raped.

Diary notes by former Assistant AFP Commissioner Leanne Close about the 4th of April 2019 meeting says,

“I also have concerns from info I heard that this may have happened before or could happen again. (I was referring to info that alleged victim may have been drugged)”.

You don’t discuss how a rape has taken place unless you are first certain that a rape did take place. So, Linda Reynolds, Fiona Brown and former Assistant AFP Commissioner Leanne Close must have already formed the same view in April 2019 that Justice Lee ultimately formed on Monday (15/4/24) in his judgment and that is Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins.

Only Days after Brittany Higgins went public, on Channel 10’s The Project show in February 2021 with her rape allegation, other women went to the media with other rape allegations against Bruce Lehrmann.

I wrote in 2023:

Bruce Lehrmann has at least 2 other alleged rape victims, but he has not sued them for defamation or sued the media who have published reports about their alleged rapes by Bruce Lehrmann.

The articles are still freely available on the internet, and will likely be there forever, which is very telling given that Bruce Lehrmann is currently suing the media for claiming he raped Brittany Higgins. In fact, the ABC have reported all 3 alleged rapes, but Lehrmann is only suing them for one alleged rape which makes no sense unless the other 2 rapes are true. (Click here to read more)

So, only days after Brittany Higgins went public in 2021 Linda Reynolds and Fiona Brown would have been aware of at least 3 alleged rapes by Bruce Lehrmann.

At the rape trial in October 2022 Linda Reynolds was caught trying to help Bruce Lehrmann by trying to coach Lehrmann’s lawyer and trying to get transcript of Brittany Higgins evidence from Lehrmann’s lawyer before Reynolds had given evidence at the trial. Reynolds also sent her husband, who lives in Western Australia, to watch Brittany Higgins give evidence.

One can only assume given that Linda Reynolds was clearly supporting Bruce Lehrmann that Reynolds wanted to know what Brittany Higgins said in evidence so Reynolds could tailor her evidence to help Lehrmann get acquitted on the rape charge.

The rape trial was aborted in October 2022 because of juror misconduct and in December 2022 prosecutors dropped the rape charge against Bruce Lehrmann because of Brittany Higgins’ mental health.

Linda Reynolds continued to support Bruce Lehrmann even though, given the evidence, she had to of known that Bruce Lehrmann had raped Brittany Higgins in 2019 and of other media reports of at least 2 other rapes by Lehrmann.

In January 2023 Bruce Lehrmann was charged with 2 counts of rape against a woman in Toowoomba, Queensland. Lehrmann’s name was all over the internet as the alleged Toowoomba rapist, but his name was suppressed until October 2023.

In June and August 2023 Bruce Lehrmann did 2 interviews on Channel 7’s Spotlight show and Linda Reynolds did an interview for the show to support Bruce Lehrmann.

Unfortunately for Reynolds she shot off her mouth too much in the interview and in effect outed herself for lying under oath at the rape trial and I wrote an article titled “Did Senator Linda Reynolds’ perjury in the Bruce Lehrmann trial cost Brittany Higgins justice?” (Click here to read more)

It didn’t matter how many rape allegations Bruce Lehrmann had against him, how many lies he told, Senator Linda Reynolds has stuck by Lehrmann and tried to help him get off the Brittany Higgins rape charge. That is what is called political inference.

And what did Peter Dutton do when Justice Lee handed down his judgment on Monday finding that Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins? Dutton defended Linda Reynolds and said she had been vindicated and in effect attacked Brittany Higgins and her partner.

Former Coalition minister Linda Reynolds has broken her silence following Bruce Lehrmann’s defamation defeat, vowing to proceed with her own civil case against Brittany Higgins and her partner David Sharaz while declaring accusations of a political cover-up had been dispelled.

Hours after Opposition Leader Peter Dutton said his Liberal colleague had been vindicated by Federal Court Justice Michael Lee’s findings into the “sordid affair”, the West Australian senator became the first MP embroiled in the saga to speak out. Dutton also suggested Higgins and Sharaz should apologise to her. (Click here to read more)

Peter Dutton was the Minister For Home Affairs, and responsible for the Australian Federal Police, from the 20^th of December 2017 until the 30^th of March 2021 and the rape happened in 2019 on Dutton’s watch. Which means Dutton quit Home Affairs a month after Brittany Higgins went public with the rape in February 2021 and a lot of heat was being put on the Morrison government.

Wonder why Peter Dutton quit Home Affairs in 2021 and why he is so quick to support Linda Reynolds? 

The fact that Peter Dutton has defended Linda Reynolds and attacked Brittany Higgins, after Justice Lee found she had been raped, shows the Liberal Party cover-up is still in full swing.

Above is just some of the evidence of the political cover-up and I’ll leave it up to the readers to add more evidence in the comments below. 

There a still a lot of twists and turns to go in this scandal and I’ll keep following up. I’m sitting on a couple of good stories from this matter that haven’t been reported elsewhere and I’ll get to them in the next few weeks.
