Bruce Lehrmann has at least 2 other alleged rape victims, but he has not sued them for defamation or sued the media who have published reports about their alleged rapes by Bruce Lehrmann.

The articles are still freely available on the internet, and will likely be there forever, which is very telling given that Bruce Lehrmann is currently suing the media for claiming he raped Brittany Higgins. In fact, the ABC have reported all 3 alleged rapes, but Lehrmann is only suing them for one alleged rape which makes no sense unless the other 2 rapes are true.

Bruce Lehrmann, his lawyers and the old media seem to have all forgotten the other 2 rape allegations exist. But 3 people who would not have forgotten are the 3 barristers Lehrmann will be cross-examined by in court in his defamation cases against Channel 10, Lisa Wilkinson and the ABC.

I sent Bruce Lehrmann’s lawyer questions regarding the other alleged rapes and associated media reports, as per the below email, and they have not responded.

One article on the Women’s Agenda website (21/2/21) is titled “Third woman alleges sexual assault by same former staffer accused of raping Brittany Higgins” and starts off:

A third woman has alleged she was sexually assaulted by the same government staffer accused of sexual assault by two other women, including Brittany Higgins.

The woman alleged she was sexually assaulted after a night out drinking five years ago, during the 2016 election. She was a volunteer for the Coalition during the election campaign, and said she was barely out of school at the time.

The woman said she woke up to the man “lying on top of me” and that he “performed or tried to perform sexual acts on me whilst I was severely intoxicated and unable to provide valid and informed consent.”

The allegations from the woman, who spoke anonymously to The Australian, come after a second woman alleged she was also sexually assaulted last year by the same political staffer accused by Brittany Higgins. This second woman suggested she may never have been assaulted had the government supported Higgins in 2019.

“If this had been properly dealt with by the government in 2019 this would not have happened to me,’’ she told The Australian.

“I am telling my story because I want to support Brittany (Higgins) and I want to help shine a light on this awful culture.”

Last week, former Liberal party staffer Brittany Higgins alleged she was raped in March 2019 in the office of then defence minister Linda Reynolds. (Click  here to read more)

The fact that Women’s Agenda did not name Lehrmann is not a barrier to Lehrmann suing them because Channel 10 and Lisa Wilkinson didn’t name him either. But they are being sued because Lehrmann says people would still have been able to recognise him from their stories and if that is true they would have also been able to recognise him from the Women’s Agenda article and other articles like it about the other 2 rapes.

I sent the below email to Bruce Lehrmann’s lawyers early Friday morning (4/8/23):

I am writing an article which has the working title “Bruce Lehrmann outs himself as a serial rapist by failing to sue over other alleged rape victims” and I have a few questions.

1. Can you explain why Bruce Lehrmann has failed to sue the ABC for defamation over the 2 stories linked below:

1. Can you please advise why Bruce Lehrmann has not sued The Australian for defamation given they were the source for the above 2 stories?
2. Has Bruce Lehrmann been accused of any other crimes, sexual assaults and/or rapes other than the 2 listed above and Brittany Higgins?
3. Given that it has been reported that Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp has paid part of Bruce Lehrmann’s defamation legal fees is Kerry Stokes and/or Seven also paying for Bruce Lehrmann’s legal fees like they did for Ben Roberts-Smith?
4. Can you confirm that barrister Steve Whybrow is they person who has been illegally leaking court material to the media to embarrass and intimidate Brittany Higgins to try to make sure she does not give evidence in Bruce Lehrmann’s defamation case?
5. Can you confirm if any staff at Mark O’Brien Legal have leaked any material to the media to embarrass and intimidate Brittany Higgins to try to make sure she does not give evidence in Bruce Lehrmann’s defamation case?

Please respond by 5pm Friday the 4^th of August 2023 so I can publish, in case I have follow up questions and so I can send your answers to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

The other 2 alleged rapes are low hanging fruit to sue for defamation unless they are true

If there was no truth to the 2 other alleged rapes Lehrmann could have sued the media for that a lot easier than his current lawsuit because the other 2 victims haven’t been named and don’t seem to want to be named which would make it a simple defamation lawsuit to win. And defamation lawyers normally go for the low hanging fruit first.

In the 2 articles I linked to in the email above to Lehrmann’s lawyers are both reports on the ABC website and given Lehrmann is already suing the ABC over one broadcast regarding Brittany Higgins it would be very simple to add the other 2 ABC articles about the other 2 alleged rapes to his current defamation claim.

The fact that Lehrmann has not added the other 2 ABC articles about the other 2 alleged rapes to his current defamation claim is very strange. Unless of course the 2 rape allegations are true because if they are true, it would be very dangerous to add them to his current defamation claim against the ABC as the 2 women might decide to give evidence.

When Bruce Lehrmann was on the witness stand earlier this year applying for an extension of time to file his defamation claims he in effect confessed to being a compulsive liar and he backed that up in an interview on Channel Seven by confessing to even more lies.

The 3 barristers cross-examining Bruce Lehrmann are going to have no trouble destroying Bruce Lehrmann’s creditability so he will lose his court case just on the issue that he is not a credible witness.

Bruce Lehrmann’s defamation cases against Channel 10, Lisa Wilkinson and the ABC are set for hearing in October 2023, so judgment day is coming. And then there are other court cases such as Linda Reynold’s new defamation claims against Brittany Higgins and her partner David Sharaz which I think will likely backfire as Linda Reynold’s lies won’t hold up when she is on the witness stand.

Chairperson Walter Sofronoff breaks the law by illegally leaking the ACT Inquiry report

The ACT Inquiry into the police cover-up attempt of the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins handed their report to the ACT government this week but the inquiry Chairperson Walter Sofronoff has admitted leaking the report, even before he gave the report to the ACT Government, to Bruce Lehrmann’s favourite propagandist at News Corp’s The Australian Janet Albrechtsen.

Janet Albrechtsen has used the leaked report to frame the media reporting to attack of whistleblower Shane Drumgold, which Walter Sofronoff would have known she would do, and like a pied piper the other media have followed her tune by also attacking Drumgold.

There was evidence tendered at the ACT Inquiry that proved Janet Albrechtsen was publishing lies, in collusion with Lehrmann’s barrister Steve Whybrow, to attack Shane Drumgold but that didn’t stop Walter Sofronoff leaking the report to her.

Janet Albrechtsen has been attacking Brittany Higgins and her supporters since last year to protect Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch’s cash cow the Liberal Party which Walter Sofronoff also would have known.

I published an article on the 15th of June titled “Bruce Lehrmann and his barrister Steve Whybrow should face contempt of court charges for leaking documents to harass Brittany Higgins” which starts off:

Bruce Lehrmann’s barrister for his rape trial Steve Whybrow confessed in a witness statement, as per below, to aiding and abetting Murdoch propagandist Janet Albrechtsen, who writes for The Australian, with a leaked police document known as the “Moller Report” and other documents in a deliberate attempt to harass Brittany Higgins.

When put together with other facts it becomes obvious Steve Whybrow, with Bruce Lehrmann’s approval, is the person who has illegally leaked other documents, recordings and possibly text messages from the rape trial to News Corp and Seven West Media which could and should see Mr Whybrow and Mr Lehrmann charged with contempt of court. The leaking of the report by Walter Sofronoff is a criminal offence under section 17 of the ACT Inquiries Act 1991 “Nondisclosure of information by members etc” “A person who is or has been a member, a member of the staff of a board or a lawyer assisting a board must not,” “produce to any person, or permit any person to have access to, a document provided for this Act.” which is punishable by up to 6 months jail.

As a former Queensland Supreme Court judge and Solicitor-General of Queensland Walter Sofronoff would know that so he has no defence to his crime.

There were other leaks to media during the Walter Sofronoff chaired ACT Inquiry. In hindsight it was likely done deliberately to undermine Brittany Higgins and her supporters. I published an article on the 11th of May 2023 regarding one leak document titled “Samantha Maiden uses frivolous rumour to shame Brittany Higgins on orders of Rupert Murdoch to protect the Liberal Party“

The irony is that by leaking the final report to stitch up Shane Drumgold in the media it has actually empowered Drumgold to fight back as the report is now easily challengeable on the basis that it has no credibility because of perceived bias, and I would say actual bias, by Walter Sofronoff against Shane Drumgold.

I watched the ACT Inquiry closely and Walter Sofronoff, who is as a former QLD Supreme Court Judge and Solicitor-General of Queensland, has a lot of questions to answer and I’ll say more on the issue next week.

But for this article the focus should be on the fact that there are at least 2 other women who have made rape allegations against Bruce Lehrmann and the details are freely available on the internet which he has not addressed which raises the question of why.

When Bruce Lehrmann did his recent interview on Channel 7 the journalist said “nothing was off the table”, yet the journalist didn’t ask Lehrmann about the other rape allegations nor did Lehrmann raise it which means the journalist was either an incompetent fool or he lied about “nothing was off the table”. The outtakes from the interview that Seven tried to conceal from the court in the defamation trial are going to be interesting.

This matter will continue to spread with more and more court cases and engulf more people until someone in the government or law enforcement shows some backbone to set justice right.

Otherwise this matter and the failings of government to deal with it is on target to be an election issue at the next federal election with probably at least 10 associated court cases for defamation, wrongful dismissal and compensation etc.

If anyone thinks 10 associated court cases is not realistic you must remember there are already 5 defamation court cases with Lehrmann suing 3 parties with one matter discontinued against News Corp and Linda Reynolds suing Brittany Higgins and her partner is separate proceedings with Reynolds already settling one matter regarding a book. And the ACT Inquiry report is bound to set off numerous preceding’s from the various parties challenging it’s finding etc with Lehrmann already stating he plans to sue the ACT Government for compensation. 

The National Anti-Corruption Commission are meant to be investigating the political and police cover-up but with the NACC’s secret hearings policy it does not instil public confidence especially after the rape trial fiasco and now Walter Sofronoff’s handiwork. 

Update (6/8/23): Walter Sofronoff has gone into hiding. I emailed him some questions at 10:45 AM today (6/8/23) & he responded at 12:06 PM saying he is out of the office until 17 Nov 2023. (Click here to see the questions on Twitter)
