ABC boss David Anderson is in huge trouble after the ABC was caught lying at the Fair Work Commission on Monday (3/6/24) about sacking journalist Antoinette Lattouf.
The massive hole that the ABC and Managing Director David Anderson have dug for themselves will only get deeper as Antoinette Lattouf pursues her claim in the Federal Court of Australia.
On Monday (3/6/24) the ABC reported:
Journalist and presenter Antoinette Lattouf was sacked by the ABC when she was taken off-air part way through a radio presenting stint, the Fair Work Commission has found.
Ms Lattouf, 40, lodged a claim for unlawful dismissal against the ABC after she was sent home on day three of a five-day assignment presenting at ABC Radio Sydney in December.
Her Fair Work Commission submission claims the ABC told her she breached the organisation’s social media policy for posting content from Human Rights Watch about the war in Gaza on her personal Instagram account.
The ABC’s position was that Ms Lattouf’s employment was not actually terminated, because she was paid for the full five days.
In a decision published today, the Fair Work Commission has rejected that argument and found Ms Lattouf’s employment was terminated by her managers during a meeting on December 20.
The ruling paves the way for Ms Lattouf to pursue an unlawful termination case which has been filed in the Federal Court.
According to her claim, Ms Lattouf’s ABC manager called her on December 18, informing her that “Jewish lobbyists were unhappy that she was on the air”. (Click here to read more)

Lawyer Jennifer Robinson was on the ABC’s QandA show on Monday night (3/6/24) and she summarised the matter very well as per below:
Antoinette Lattouf was in effect sacked on the instructions of Rupert Murdoch and an Israeli lobby group called “Lawyers for Israel” although Murdoch would say he was just reporting the news. “Lawyers for Israel”, with the support of News Corp’s papers, lobbied the then ABC Chair Ita Buttrose to sack Antoinette Lattouf and given Murdoch’s influence at the ABC the sacking was always going to happen.
It is worth reading some of my previous reporting on the matter and Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch’s influence at the ABC as it gives a fuller understanding on what is happening and why it just got a lot hotter for the ABC and boss David Anderson.

This week it was revealed in evidence at the Fair Work Commission that the ABC’s communication department leaked Antoinette Lattouf’s sacking to News Corp’s The Australian which was obviously an attempt to defame Ms Lattouf. The leak would have been approved at the highest levels in the ABC.
Antoinette Lattouf was sacked by the ABC because she shared on Instagram a Human Rights Watch post about Israel’s starvation strategy as a weapon of war. But the ABC had already reported on the exact same matter so how can the ABC report on it but Antoinette Lattouf is deemed guilty of some sackable offence.
The reality is that a lobbyist group called “Lawyers for Israel” lobbied ABC Chair Ita Buttrose and bullied the ABC into sacking Antoinette Lattouf, 3 days into her 5 day radio hosting role, because they didn’t like her previous reporting on the Gaza crisis.

Rupert Murdoch is now a shadow director of the ABC, and has been for quite a while, with the proof being his propagandists are on most, if not all, ABC news and current affairs shows pushing his lies for his own financial benefit.

Rupert Murdoch’s The Australian newspaper and website published articles leaked to them by “Lawyers for Israel” while “Lawyers for Israel” lobbied the ABC to sack Antoinette Lattouf. And then the ABC leaked Antoinette Lattouf’s sacking to Murdoch’s The Australian to embarrass Antoinette Lattouf.
Rupert Murdoch’s The Australian, “Lawyers for Israel” and ABC management all secretly colluded to stitch-up Antoinette Lattouf to be sacked.
So, if Murdoch’s News Corp had not colluded with “Lawyers for Israel” and ABC management Antoinette Lattouf’s sacking might not have happened so Murdoch’s role should not be dismissed as media reporting the news.
The ABC and boss David Anderson are in a lot of trouble because if Antoinette Lattouf’s case in the Federal Court goes to hearing David Anderson is certain to be called as a witness and I doubt he would survive after that as David Anderson’s perjured answers at Senate hearings won’t cut it in court.
The bottom line is the ABC were happy to pay rapist Bruce Lehrmann $150,000 to settle a dodgy defamation case against them to save costs, yet they are happy to potentially spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not $millions, on an open-and-shut unlawful termination case they are certain to lose.
A lot more twists and turns to come and I’ll keep on following up.

The ABC & SBS are both lying propaganda messengers for the powers that be. I’ve always watched the ABC News for since the Scam Covid Lockdowns etc we now record both News outlets. So with a 15-20 min lag we fast forward through the unwatchable evening carnage of Palestinians being massacred – and the Evil Twin Broadcasters willing showing the footage -night after night BUT always saying the Jews have to protect themselves. As if 1500 dead Jews is worth kiling 35,000 Gaza inhabitants ! The Bastards.

The recently arrived Murdoch journalists on Insiders have left me gasping. They can’t string two sentences together, they have no political history memory and they are limited to breathless gossip. One in particular [name escapes me] runs slow, tedious comments threatening to break out in full sentences yet never quite gets there. Terrible!
Regardless of the supposed machinations of the Murdoch’s, ABC honchos etc. it is worthwhile recounting the facts. HAMAS was elected by the residents of Gaza to “run” their territory. For years HAMAS has fired missiles into Israel and of course the IDF has retaliated. On October 7th HAMAS massacred Israels in the most horrific manner and took hostages. This was in the full knowledge that there would be massive repercussions from the hard right Government of Netanyahu. From 7/10 on HAMAS has used the people of Gaza as a shield against the IDF. This is an element of their plan to bring opprobrium on the State of Israel. Whilst the actions of Netanyahu and the IDF have been totally vengeful, it is also a reaction that was totally predictable and expected by HAMAS. As was the reaction of the surrounding Arab states that will not allow Palestinians to cross their borders thus remaining in harm’s way. Yet HAMAS is winning the propaganda war, as ill-informed or deliberately ignorant people including politicians, focus on the outcome that HAMAS intended from the start.
I guess you are aware of how the religious Zionist State of Israel was founded in 1948. And ethnic cleansing of over 700,000 Palestinians occurred, removing them from homes and lands they had lived in for many generations.
Would you find eviction from your home in Australia acceptable?

Gaza is/was an outdoor prison with the Israeli jailers supplying all food, water, fuel other needs.

Certainly since Netanyahu gained influence, as PM in Israel, over at least the last decade, he has supported Qatar supplying various needs to Gaza and Hamas.
In fact Netanyahu tolerated Hamas against the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Netanyahu and Hamas both agree, neither want a 2-State solution.
The 2-State solution is the aim of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Netanyahu won’t tolerate this outcome, and he will attempt to stay as PM to make sure it doesn’t happen. He would die first than allow a 2-State solution.
He also needs to stay as PM to avoid the corruption charges Israeli courts will proceed with if he is removed.
Several days before the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack, Egyptian Intelligence alerted the Israeli government and their intelligence organisation that an attack was imminent. Netanyahu denied he was told.
How likely is this when Israel has the most sophisticated intelligence organisation in the world?
Is Netanyahu telling the truth here and in his other statements?

In breaking news(again), the NACCers have decided not to proceed with the five main architects of the Robodebt scandals. If this is a sample of their undercover work, I guess the perpetrators of the various rorts in the previous government can breathe easier.

Irene I won’t add much more, but many people only see the Robodebt one way, or they prefer to blame the LNP. You made an accurate assessment of the situation and the core problem of the truth that it was linked to Labor was not made public.
Law and justice in Australia has been thrown to the crooked legal dogs to spiel their lies when asked to present “factual” evidence.

I for one, do hope that given the strength of the Commission’s decision, believe that the Federal Court’s ruling will be a foregone conclusion, affirming her wrongful termination and providing the restitution she deserves.
No, the Fair Work Commission (what a waste of tax dollar that is) did not rule Lattouf was unlawfully dismissed, they ruled that she was sacked, whereas the ABC maintained her employment was not terminated. This ruling now allows her to pursue an unfair dismissal action, in which I sincerely hope she fails.
