Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong has again been exposed lying and deflecting in parliament when asked questions about the proposed $17 billion gas tax by The Greens Senator Steph Hodgins-May as per the below video.
While it is now standard practice for Senator Penny Wong to lie, deceive and deflect when asked questions she does not like, it is also becoming obvious that The Greens see Penny Wong as a weak link for the Labor Party government.
When the Labor Party was in opposition from 2013 until 2022, Penny Wong built a cult following, holding the Liberal Party / National Party coalition government accountable by putting tough questions to ministers in the Senate and during Senate estimates hearings.
The irony is Senator Penny Wong spent 9 years exposing lies, deception and deceit by the Liberal Party / National Party coalition government, and now Senator Penny Wong is herself being exposed for lies, deception and deceit.
In the below video, The Greens Senator Steph Hodgins-May asks Penny Wong questions about the $17 billion gas tax, with 2 of Senator Hodgins-May best quotes being:
“It’s a remarkable coincidence that what Labor says is best for Australians is always, always, what’s best for those multi-national gas corporations, what a coincidence” and “Labor is working for the gas industry, working for their big donors.”
The Greens Senator David Shoebridge also makes an appearance at the end of the video and gives Senator Penny Wong a 3-minute spray, which is worth watching the video for by itself.

It was only back in July 2025 that Penny Wong said Australia sends “Non-lethal” F-35 Fighter Jet parts to Israel as per the below video. The same F-35 Fighter Jets that Israel uses to bomb Gaza and other parts of the Middle East killing thousands.
Given The Greens only have one MP in the lower house, Elizabeth Watson-Brown, but have 11 Senators in the upper house, it is no surprise they spend more time exposing Senator Penny Wong’s failings than they do anyone else in parliament.
Besides Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Senator Penny Wong has probably done more damage to the credibility of the federal government than any other federal Labor Party politician, and she will be a major liability come the 2028 federal election.
If The Greens are believers in the saying “When you’re on a good thing, stick to it,” then they should continue to focus a lot of their attack on the government’s failings at Senator Penny Wong.
If Senator Penny Wong, who has been in parliament 25 years since 2001, were to retire before the 2028 federal election, she would be doing the Labor Party a huge favour, as she would no longer be a drag on Labor’s vote.
Penny Wong is a prime example of why politicians should face term limits. After 25 years in Parliament, her tenure highlights the risks of having career politicians.

I think she will get a prestigious sounding but totally useless position at the UN or US think tank (sic). Good remuneration though to complement her parliamentary pension.

I was once a fan of hers. How the mighty fall, when the boot is on the other foot. Suddenly lies, secrecy and supporting genocidal Zionists and governing for them, not Australians, needs to be justified! The other thing about her that irks me is her diversionary tactics, you know, the ones Trump uses, and Albo uses, as well. Attack the messenger. You know they know they’re in the wrong when they do that.

How much had the Governments of ScoMo, Abbott, Rudd-Gillard-Rudd & Howard given the various Zionist Lobby Groups & Billionaires such as Rinehart, Triguboff & Pratt during their Terms?
The question is – why isn’t it good policy to introduce a 25% tax on gas exports? Why should disabled people and their families be prevented from taking part in the community due to cuts to the NDIS? And of course, why are people on long waiting lists for ‘affordable’ housing or operations at public hospitals? Why isn’t dental care included in Medicare? (professional dental care underpins good general health so could ease the pressure on the medical system)
And why does Japan impose a 10% tax on our gas imports to them plus sell excess gas from us for profit?

WONG IS THE GREATEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF ANY POLITICIAN I CAN REMEMBER
Many people who are ‘fans’ of Penny the windsock have always bleated on about how wonderful she is. Not sure why, she gets a lot of cred for being an Asian, female gay politician but whatever. Extract that and focus on morals, ability and achievement IMO. Apparently they have never noticed how damn slippery she is. She has a history of changing her view to suit whatever benefits her career trajectory in the moment. Then changing it back. The direction changes and her view does again to the convenient untruth. Exactly what you say in the article, in other words. Her hypocrisy over time has been phenomenal.
The concern is these politicians all lie, yet most of them have sworn themselves in on the bible, to which you can’t do under man’s law as it’s blasphemy. So if they make a promise which is the strongest law of the land then get them charged and removed, once a couple of them get removed then watch how quick they would be working for the people. Or just make our GTP go no higher than 3%, if they can’t fix the problem then they are removed. Also there should be an inventory on all the spending they do for the public, on a public domain as they are using tax payers monies. This should be a given. It’s not there money to do as they please
