The Labor Party are in big trouble on 2 fronts. Firstly, they have introduced draft digital “Duty of Care” laws to force online service providers, such as Google and Facebook etc, to ensure a safe online environment, which is a Trojan Horse for the government to censor the internet.

Secondly, the Senate voted on Monday to hold an inquiry into Labor’s $560 million pork-barrelling scam to buy the Labor Party votes at the 2025 federal election, which includes $6 million spent on a golf club in Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s electorate.

Labor’s new attempt at online censorship

Censoring the internet has been an ambition of the Anthony Albanese government for at least a couple of years, and they last tried it with the failed Misinformation and Disinformation bill in 2023, which they abandoned in November 2024 after the Senate united against it.

Communications Minister Anika Wells says she is willing to make a concession on draft ministerial powers under proposed digital duty of care laws in order to gain the support of the Coalition.

While the draft laws spell out online conduct that constitutes serious harm, the minister would have the power to designate additional serious harm that tech platforms must mitigate.

It is part of measures that aim to shift responsibility onto big tech to proactively reduce foreseeable harm or face fines of more than $100 million.

Opposition Leader Angus Taylor branded the ministerial powers a “blank cheque for political censorship” and raised free speech concerns, stating on Thursday the Coalition would not support the bill in its current form. (Click here to read more)

It’s back to the future for Labor and another attempt by them to censor what people can and can’t say online.

In the below video I play a video that shows Prime Minister Anthony Albanese lying to parliament about his relationship with the Marrickville Golf Club, which is a video that Labor would censor off the internet if they could.

Then I play a second video of parliament on Monday (14/9/26) where Labor was trying to have a question by the Liberals about the golf club blocked, so Anthony Albanese did not have to answer.

Luckily the speaker allowed the question, but it shows how Labor are always trying to censor what the public can and can’t know and how they would abuse any power they had to censor under the proposed “Duty of Care” laws.

The Labor Party are going to have a lot of grief and embarrassment because they are again trying to control censorship on the internet, which they would abuse like no tomorrow.

A great example of how Labor would abuse internet censorship if they could is the $6 million Albanese spent on the golf club in his electorate and Labor trying to control what is said in parliament on the matter as per the above video.

And Labor wants the minister, under the new “Duty of Care” laws, to have the power to designate additional serious harm that tech platforms must mitigate.

If a Labor minister was given the power to tell tech platforms what they have to censor, the first thing would be anything embarrassing to the Labor Party, and the public would never know.

And then Labor would start looking after their mates, such as the gas lobby and gambling industry, censoring whatever they didn’t like, and again the public wouldn’t know.

If you think I am off the mark, the Labor Party already censors the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s work, who only have secret hearings, so the public knows virtually nothing about what corruption the NACC have and haven’t investigated.

The Senate Inquiry into Labor’s $560 million pork-barrelling scam will start soon and is due to report by November 2026. So, that should help shine a light on what Labor has really been up to and why Anthony Albanese has been lying about the $6 million Golf Club grant.
