Gail Furness SC, Inspector of the National Anti-Corruption Commission received evidence last week of corruption by NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton and the NACC regarding the Robodebt cover-up.
Sending the evidence was important because even though Gail Furness SC said on the 13th of June 2024 that she had received over 900 complaints regarding the Robodebt cover-up, most if not all, of those complaints would have had very little if any evidence to support the complaints.
The evidence was sent by me, as per the below letter, and includes documented evidence obtained via a recent freedom of information (FOI) application to the NACC by a social media user, admissions by the NACC to a journalist at The Guardian and photographic and documented evidence of Commissioner Paul Brereton’s personal interest in the Robodebt matter.

Dear Gail Furness SC
I am writing to you with direct evidence, circumstantial evidence and submissions in regards to the National Anti-Corruption Commission and Commissioner Paul Brereton acting corruptly, when interested, by summarily dismissing the 6 referrals made to the NACC by the Robodebt Royal Commission.
I am aware of the reported 900 plus complaints made to you about the matter, but I suspect that most, if not all, had no evidence in support, except for maybe a small amount of circumstantial evidence, if that.
In this letter I will fill the evidentiary void and make out a powerful circumstantial case backed up by direct evidence from NACC internal emails and documents obtained via a Freedom of Information (FOI) application.
The NACC also received and answered media questions that were published in The Guardian on the 15th of August 2024 with the NACC’s answers to the media questions also being powerful direct evidence, if not public admissions of corruption and a cover-up.
Almost all of the evidence I have already published on my website, and I will give summations of the evidence in those articles with links to the full articles below.
I published an article on Sunday the 18th of August 2024 titled “NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton caught lying about his Robodebt recusal for Kathryn Campbell” which has NACC internal emails and documents obtained via a Freedom of Information (FOI) embed in the article.
The NACC emails, documents and answers to media questions prove that NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton recused himself from dealing with the Robodebt 6 referrals on the 7th of July 2023.
The same evidence also proves NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton failed to recuse himself in any legal sense because the NACC admits Paul Brereton “retained visibility of significant steps taken” in relation to the matter and “contributed his own views on some issues when requested or when he considered appropriate”. The key issues
It is worth noting the key issues as I see it and then dealing with them in order.
Firstly, what is the perceived bias? Secondly, when did the alleged cover-up of the Robodebt 6 start? And thirdly, what is the evidence supporting the alleged corruption / cover-up?

My website broke the story in June 2023 that NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton, Kathryn Campbell and her husband John Brennan are friends.

National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Commissioner Paul Brereton is friends with Governor-General David Hurley and Robodebt fraudster Kathryn Campbell which creates a huge issue as corruption allegations against Hurley and Campbell have almost certainly been made to the NACC to evaluate and investigate if they think it is warranted.
As you will see in the pictures below Paul Brereton, David Hurley and Kathryn Campbell were senior Army officers at the Sydney University Regiment in 2008. The friendship between NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton and Kathryn Campbell has been known publicly since I published articles in July 2023 and has been reinforced in numerous other articles I have published on the matter. Other independent media have also since written articles on the issue.

Kathryn Campbell has certainly been identified as one of the Robodebt 6, especially with the NACC’s recent admissions, and I have no doubt so has Scott Morrison.
When did the alleged cover-up of the Robodebt 6 start?
I would argue, and believe the evidence supports, that the corruption / alleged cover-up started when Robodebt Royal Commissioner Catherine Holmes decided to put the names and evidence against the Robodebt 6 into a sealed section before sending it to the NACC for further investigation.

What is the evidence supporting the alleged corruption / cover-up?
The most powerful evidence is the admissions by the NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton in his letter to the Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus saying he had recused himself when emails, documents and the NACC’s response to media questions prove that is a lie and NACC Commissioner Paul Brereton had not recused himself.

I am an independent journalist and publish a judicial / government corruption website and YouTube channel and for that reason I have watched the formation and performance of the NACC closely and it is in a lot of trouble.
If you Ms Gail Furness SC conduct a half-hearted inquiry and publish a weak report sweeping Paul Brereton’s and the NACC’s internal corruption under the carpet you will not solve the issue but inflame it tenfold.

Gail Furness SC
I don’t know much about Gail Furnace SC and first came across her when she was counsel assisting the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse from 2013 to 2017.
I do not have a shred of evidence that Gail Furness SC has ever acted corruptly nor have I ever heard any rumours to that effect.
But I find it hard to believe that a government who has deliberately appointed a corrupt NACC Commissioner in Paul Brereton, who was exposed in a recent government report protecting his mates in the ADF, would then appoint an honest NACC Inspector who could potentially take down the corrupt NACC Commissioner and others.
But the bottom line is, Gail Furness SC, Inspector of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, either has to throw her own reputation and career under a bus to protect Commissioner Paul Brereton and the crooks behind him or she has to take a stand and do the right thing.
Either way, Gail Furness SC, is going to be in one hell of a fight. Although, with the powerful evidence and admissions by the NACC already in the public domain I think there is a good chance Paul Brereton will resign soon and slink into retirement on his big fat pension.

Interesting trail of events, confidence in any menial action being taken by the Inspector borders on zilch, zero none..as reported via KCA previously, the entire alleged corruption fighters were deliberately set up to fail, when LNP and Labor set up an organisation in agreement to operate in secret, the alarm bells rang extremely loud, could hear the champagne corks popping in Parliament House at a combined gathering of corruptables ALP/LNP members celebrating their coup, protection racket set up to protect themselves ..also at the celebration would be the political masters from News, 7, 9 and as Julian Assange said recently, oversight via Washington, experts at cover ups and plundering the public purse.
Australia will never become a true democracy until such times that our Politicians are made to obey the law of our land or face the consequences like we have to. They should not be above the law as some of them think

The title should be removed, as very few would warrant it.

Next cab off the rank will be some activism over NACC’s recent announcement that they are not further investigating the individuals recommended to them by ICAC’S Operation Jersey Inquiry. This announcement seems to have gon under radar. The OJ Inquiry examined The Liberal Party’s pork barrelling (ICAC have published their findings online). In this case they uncovered actual evidence of corruption and fraud. This is already becoming a pattern of behaviour of the NACC within the first year; where all wrongdoing goes to die.
