Liberal Party and Labor Party former politicians, such as Scott Morrison, Joe Hockey and former WA Premier Mark McGowan are lining up to cash in on Australia’s defence spending which is expected to double and hit $100 billion a year.
At the top of the list for greedy former politicians is the $368 billion AUKUS submarine deal between Australia, the US and UK.
Anyone who has watched the AUKUS deal knows it is a huge fraud and it is nothing more than a massive slush fund for corrupt politicians to make a lot of money and that is what we’ll look at in this article.
What you will see, as far as defence spending and the AUKUS deal is concerned, is that both the Labor Party and Liberal Party act as if they were one party and they don’t even try to hide it.
Bondi Partners – (Click here to read more)
Bondi Partners was set by former federal treasurer and former Ambassador to the US Joe Hockey and has a major focus of profiting from AUKUS. Joe Hockey has employed former WA Premier Mark McGowan and former Minister for Defence Marise Payne (2015-2018).
It says on Bondi Partners website:
Bondi Partners was founded in Washington DC in early 2020 by former Australian Ambassador to the United States, the Hon. Joe Hockey.
Joe identified that despite a deep trade and investment partnership between Australia and the U.S., innovative Australian companies struggled to gain traction in America because of the complexity and noise in the market. At the same time, U.S. firms looking to invest or expand into Australia, often as a strategic foothold into the Indo Pacific, lacked the strategic insights to help chart their course.
And so Bondi Partners – named after the famous Sydney beach where Joe’s parents first met – was born to help elevate the trade and investment partnership between Australia and the United States to the next level.
With the evolution of AUKUS – a trilateral security pact between Australia, the U.K. and the U.S. – Bondi Partners footprint continues to grow across the Pacific and the Atlantic. Today we have teams in Washington, Los Angeles, Sydney, Canberra, London and Tokyo where we partner with businesses which want to grow and invest across allied and global markets. Joe Hockey doesn’t even try to hide that he wants to cash in on AUKUS.
The below pictures of Mark McGowan and Marise Payne were copied from the Bondi Partners website.

Below is a picture on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s Twitter account on the 20th of March 2023 which says “Good to catch up with @joehockey MP, former Ambassador to the U.S., and Richard Spencer, former U.S. Navy Secretary, in Canberra today.”
Why was Prime Minister Anthony Albanese meeting with private citizen Joe Hockey? Was Albo thinking about his next job after politics? Was Albo helping Joe and his Bondi Partners make a few dollars?

AUKUS is a fraud scam
The Conversation website published an article on the 27/8/24 titled “The AUKUS submarine deal has been exposed as a monumental folly – is it time to abandon ship? which starts off:
Nautical metaphors are irresistible, I’m afraid, when talking about Australia’s seemingly endless submarine saga. But as investigative journalist Andrew Fowler makes clear in Nuked: The Submarine Fiasco that Sank Australia’s Sovereignty, his excellent and excoriating analysis of the genesis of the AUKUS pact, there isn’t much room for levity otherwise.
Anyone who doubts the accuracy of former Labor luminaries Paul Keating and Gareth Evans, who have argued that AUKUS is, as Keating put it, “the worst deal in all history”, really ought to read this book. (Click here to read more)
The Conversation is a website that is funded and driven by universities so for them to call out how bad the AUKUS submarine deal says that is likely what they are already teaching students at University. And as the author points out there is already a book on how bad the AUKUS deal is.
Videos that outline the AUKUS scam (If you know very little about how bad the AUKUS scam is watching the 3 short videos below is a must for every Australian and very educational)
The chances of Australia ever getting the promised submarines is zero as the US and UK do not have the capacity to supply them as pointed out by Greens Senator David Shoebridge.
David Shoebridge on AUKUS, Australia is “spending Billions of dollars chasing unicorns”
On the 20th of March 2024 Senator David Shoebridge posted the below video on Twitter and says, “It is clear that the US is taking us for a ride on AUKUS, we are giving billions and contracting out our foreign policy to Washington, in return, it is unlikely we will even get extremely dangerous nuclear submarines. We called on the Government to scrap AUKUS.”
On the 20th of August 2024 Senator David Shoebridge posted the below video on Twitter and says, “A Labor and Liberal committee looking at a new AUKUS base in HMAS Stirling off the coast of Perth failed to mention the fact that it would manage intermediate-level radioactive waste from US and UK submarines. Just ignoring the concerns of the community.”
On the 14th of August 2024 Senator David Shoebridge posted the below video on Twitter and says, “The new AUKUS 2.0 deal Albanese has just signed is so bad it is hard to wrap your head around. So here is an explainer.”
Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison chasing the AUKUS cash
Former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison now works for American Global Strategies as non-executive Vice Chairman. It says on AGS’s website:
AGS delivers unparalleled expertise for our clients by assessing the global geopolitical environment, devising strategies for navigating U.S. Government processes and policies, assisting on international business transactions and managing crisis situations domestically.
AGS provides expert insight and guidance to clients in the defense, aerospace, maritime, technology, finance and private equity sectors.
AGS was founded by former National Security Advisor Robert C. O’Brien and former National Security Council Chief of Staff Alex Gray. Our staff is comprised of professionals who have served at the White House, State Department, Pentagon and on Capitol Hill. The firm’s primary office is in Washington, D.C. (Click here to read more)

Scott Morrison – American Global Strategies
Scott Morrison also works for AUKUS investor DYNE Maritime.
DYNE Maritime’s website is one page and only says “An alternative asset management company focused on investing in national security technology and supply chain resiliency for the U.S., U.K. and Australian technology” with no other information.
How many legitimate businesses have a one-page website that only has their business name and one paragraph describing the business? A perfect fit for Morrison, I suppose.
News.com reported in January 2024:
Scott Morrison has come under fire for taking on two jobs in the US private defence sector after the former prime minister announced his exit from politics.
After revealing plans to resign in February, Mr Morrison said he would be joining consulting firm American Global Strategies as non-executive vice chairman.
He will also assume a strategic advisor role with AUKUS investor DYNE Maritime, alongside former US Secretary of State and ex-CIA director Mike Pompeo.
The venture capital company invests in technologies related to the joint security agreement that was orchestrated under Mr Morrison’s leadership.
Greens defence spokesman David Shoebridge said Mr Morrison’s swift move into the private defence sector was an example of why the public was cynical about politicians.
“Morrison is leaving politics only to grab his very unfair share of the billions of dollars of public money that he has shovelled into AUKUS,” Senator Shoebridge said. (Click here to read more)
Christopher Pyne – Former Defence Minister
Christopher Pyne must be raking in the cash from taxpayers helping sell weapons. His resume says:
Christopher Pyne – Former Defence Minister – August 2018 – May 2019 – (Click here for Christopher Pyne’s LinkedIn page)
Christopher Pyne – Chairman NIOA – NIOA is a privately-owned global munitions company – Jan 2021 – Present · 3 yrs 8 months – Brisbane, Queensland
Chairman –
The SMH published an article on the 11/7/24 titled “Lobbyland: Pyne, Feeney open doors in defence” which starts off:
A weapons supplier with more than $200 million in federal deals has emerged as one of the best-connected companies in federal politics, with former Labor and Liberal ministers helping it gain a central position in a massive push to build a guided-missile industry.
NIOA Group appears set to gain more contracts to develop the missile’s capability with the help of directors including former Liberal defence minister Christopher Pyne and former Labor parliamentary secretary for defence David Feeney, giving it contacts on both sides of parliament.
But the company’s success has also highlighted the gaps in the regime that is meant to monitor lobbying in federal politics, as most company directors are exempt from the scheme and most businesses do not disclose the “in-house” executives who seek to influence the government.
Federal spending on defence is expected to double to $100 billion a year in a plan to acquire new submarines, warships, drones, missiles and other equipment over the decade ahead, setting up massive contracts for companies that gain insight into government plans.
The article also names other politicians such as:
Other political insiders have also signed up as board members for defence companies, with former Liberal senator Arthur Sinodinos chairing the board at Queensland company Hypersonix Launch Systems.
Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy, who was communications minister for six years and later served as the party’s defence spokesman, is on the advisory board of Rheinmetall’s Australian division.
Former Liberal MP Bob Baldwin now works as director of government and corporate relations at Varley Group, a company based in the NSW Hunter Valley and a joint venture partner with Israeli company Rafael Advanced Defence Systems in supplying missile systems to the Australian Defence Force. (Click here to read the full article)
But the SMH article didn’t mention the Bondi Partners’ politicians I named above, nor Scott Morrison for some reason, and it’s hard to believe the journalist didn’t know about their roles with the AUKUS money train given how high profile they are.
The exact number of former politicians that are on the AUKUS / Defence money train I don’t know but I am sure there are others making money from the defence industry. With the rapid growth of defence spending there will many more in the near future. If you know of any, please add them in the comment section below.
As the years go by and the AUKUS scam becomes more and more obvious the politicians will just try another scam to cover-it up. Hopefully by then Australia will have a minority government heavily reliant on independents who will make sure it is exposed for the scam it is.
I will publish a follow-up post soon with more details.

These bastards have absolutely no shame, sticking it to us all the time, they don’t evenn try to disguise their criminality.
If you want to get rich, get into politics.
I’m disgusted. But exposure means nothing if we can’t jail them for their greed and corruption. This HAS to end. People dont make great wealth through honest dealings. They’re all crooks. Australia desperately needs to get rid of the 2 Party system. I’ll be voting for an Independent at the next federal election.
I’m not so sure about independents either, after that glowing lot of codswallop from Helen Haines (Independent, INDI) regarding the successful first 12 months the NACC. Where to from here?
And so should we all. When is the Oz voter going to realise that nothing changes at the ballot box, Labor, Libs & the greens are joined at the hip & will always have the same goal, just little different ways to get there & so once more we are fooled. None of them are govt anyway, they all are corporative execs who work for the UN & the WEF, not to mention lining their own pockets in the process. We have the numbers & the means to stop their gravy train, we just have to start thinking & questioning & break away from our habits.
It’s time to can AUKUS Albanese gov and Liberals. Completely. They have sold out Australia and provide jobs for the boys when they jump ship. All need to be held to account for deception to Australian people
Yep, you confirmed it. There is Nothing decent about major parties. Sadly this is world wide. Corruption is rife and becoming normal in every aspect of life.
The world is in Clear and Present danger. Code Red. We the people “ woke”
( its true sense) are the ones who despair and suffer from the flagrant corruption.
This report and others say it all. Politicians say they get into politics to make a difference. The only difference they ever make is to increase their own net wealth. There are very few exceptions to this edict .
I vote for the Independents after doing research.
Finally , support “Kangaroo Court of Australia.”
Keep at it KCA. Looking forward to your next instalment. I’m amazed that the “old media”, including “our” ABC isn’t pursuing corruption more forcefully – maybe fearing being ostracised by the perpetrators?
Nothing new under Australian sun. Just as well we have no real NCC, or most politicians would be in jail.
How do we remedy this situation what is the solution to this corruption, they all work for the Australian government corporation which has no allegiance to we the people our rights are trampled on daily by these criminals. Every politician has been brought and sold we mean nothing to them. CRIMINALS
AUKUS is showing the Australian people that we remain a colony and not a nation. The exploitive colonial Judicial Structure was and still is set up to exploit the villagers who live in this nation. If the Judiciary had even a smidgin of integrity these pirates who have stolen $360 Billion dollars from the Australian people would be placed in chains, thrown into a deep and dark dungeon and left there to rot for eternity. Alas this is not the case as those who are placed into the positions of responsibility to care for the nation have also been corrupted and are only focused on money. Money being the root of all evil.
It’s like all integrity is left at the door once someone gets into politics and even worse once they set them selves up before getting out – it’s criminal that they use the systems they administered while in highly paid office f for personal gain and worse all this profiteering from defence spending and munitions leads to
WAR – what could be more evil , stupid, narrow visioned , criminal , selfish and destructive shame on them
The best Australians can do is vote the Albanese government out. And in your electorate put the sitting member last on the ballot. And the Labor/Liberal candidate second last.
As in the Senate. Vote for anyone else 1st, 2nd, 3rd,…..
How else can voters get rid of these crooks?
And Shane’s information, Fowlers book, the Conversation, Keating and Evan’s criticisms and alarms need to be widely broadcast to all Australian voters.
Ideas?
We would get rid of the UniParty, but if the government get its way, then they would set this “lucky country” back 50 years and wipe out independents, Greens, and PHON due to their electoral donation reforms that will make it almost impossible for non-UniParty candidates to get into Parliament.
https://www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/politics/2023/10/14/the-bipartisan-deal-designed-thwart-independents#hrd
Labor tried to pull this stunt during the Gillard government, but the Coalition voted it down. However, they will try again, and again, and again until the Coalition changes it tune and it gets what it wants.
Australia was built by criminals in days gone by. Sadly some are still here today.
Everyone of them should be spending many years in prison cells.
I have pushed for ages, that the title Honourable should/must be removed from these, our employees.
and theLIFE LONG PENSIONS and benefits they get even if only one term?
Where is your evidence they get a life long pension even after one term. They don’t.
Excellent. Keep up the good work and thanks for the plug.
I refer to it as USUKA, just another Military Industrial Complex conjob, providing jobs for the ex politicians/ex defence enablers of such!
Love your acronym! USUKA describes it aptly!
peter costello and partners apparently raked in a million $ success fee for the french submarine deal!
I wrote about that numerous times which I forgot when writing the above article.
From 2022: “How much did Scott Morrison personally make from Australia’s failed submarine deal given he made sure his mates Peter Costello and David Gazard made $millions?” Click here: https://kangaroocourtofaustralia.com/2022/04/07/how-much-did-scott-morrison-personally-make-from-australias-failed-submarine-deal-given-he-made-sure-his-mates-peter-costello-and-david-gazard-made-millions/
Scam after scam. So tired of all these bastards. Aussie Bob
I have just published a video on the Kangaroo Court of Australia YouTube channel on this article which is here: https://youtu.be/LimExWMqS8I
We are really in bad difficulties, it keeps getting worse every minute of every day.
They don’t work for us folks, almost each one of them, is in politics to further their own ends.
Reading the comments above, seem to reflect widespread frustration and anger towards the Australian political system. Commenters express disdain for both major parties, viewing them as corrupt entities that prioritise personal wealth over public service.
Is the current two-party system failing our country? In my honest opinion (IMHO), YES!
The AUKUS agreement, in particular, is indeed and has been rightly and heavily criticised as a betrayal of Australian interests and the Australian people, benefiting only, IMHO, the political elite, the military industrial complex, the “rules-based order” and further entrenching corruption, in its many forms.
There is a definite call for greater transparency, accountability, and systemic change to address these deep-seated issues. I despair greatly, as no investigation will ever be conducted in a formal and open manner. As usual, if there is, it will be behind closed doors and whispers, administered by dubious characters.
Australia is FAST becoming a REGIME! One day you will wake up and there will be a knock at the door … don’t laugh!
Wow. I thought the USA was corrupt and nothing could top us… until I read this. The American people need to know this info. Good reporting mates! It gives me insight into how the world is really one big organized crime syndicate.
Effectively, recently all current and former Prime Ministers and a selection of Labour Party government ministers, then the mostly Lib/Nat Coalition Party Ministers who are engaged in a treason against the Australian people.
Nothing, lesser than those involved, must be charged with committing an act of treason against the citizens that form the Australia electorate.
Our nation’s Federal Police have the capacity to level charges against
all the involved government ministers and high-level appointees.
How else can the act of treason be investigated, other than by our Nation’s Police Forces?
This same charge of treason must also incorporate our nation’s Intelligence agencies, ASIS and ASIC, so great is the magnitude that each of the high-level appointees, including our nation’s Military Intelligence officials are culpable there toward this treason against our sovereign nation of Australia.
The former USA CIA director, Mike Pompei (a best friend of Scott Morrison) is well able to mastermind this nation’s loss of its sovereign status.
One can add the proposed increase of $50 Billion dollars to form an annual $100 Billion dollar defence budget, combined with AUKUS $358 Billion dollar agreement, this amounts to just shy of half a $Trillion dollars… Up for grabs by those involved.
Think about it, also the mega-billions of dollars of taxpayer monies involved… Is without any exaggeration.
You can add Stephen Loosley to the list of ex-pollies now peddling weapons of mass destruction.
As the sun slowly sets on the fossil fuel industry, politicians have chosen dealing in fast deaths as the next best thing to the slower death by climate change.
How do we get rid of them though? Surely we have some aspiring politicians with integrity? If so, please, put your hands up!
