Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who spent years attacking Rupert Murdoch, saying he is a “cancer on our democracy,” has been an “expert” on 2 Fox News shows in the US in the last 2 weeks, which means Rudd is now on Rupert Murdoch’s payroll.

This article will not only show Rudd’s hypocrisy, but it is in the public interest in a major way given Kevin Rudd, as Australia’s Ambassador to the US from March 2023 to March 2026, knows many of Australia’s secrets that he is now likely leaking to Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch.

I say that because Rudd is a career grifter, and I published an article in June 2025 about Rudd’s grifting titled “The GOATs of Labor Party corruption – Kevin Rudd, his wife Therese Rein and their $400 million fortune” which says it all, and it should be no surprise that Rudd is now in Murdoch’s hip pocket. Before we look at the 2 recent videos of Rudd on Murdoch’s Fox News in the US, so we can keep the timeline in order, let’s have a quick look at Rudd’s push for a Murdoch Royal Commission, which he launched in 2020, and Rudd on Murdoch’s Sky News in 2024 when he was Australia’s Ambassador to the US.

As we all know, Kevin Rudd had to swallow humble pie regarding his criticism of Donald Trump when he became Australia’s Ambassador to the US in March 2023, and Rudd has now swallowed humble pie regarding the Murdochs for his own greed.

Kevin Rudd on Murdoch’s Sky News in 2024

I published an article on the 19th of September 2024 titled “Kevin Rudd bows to Rupert Murdoch. So, what happens now to the Murdoch Royal Commission Rudd pushed for?” which starts off:

Kevin Rudd, former Australian Prime Minister and currently Australia’s Ambassador to the US, who was the driving force behind the Murdoch Royal Commission push in Australia, was happily interviewed by Joe Hockey for Murdoch’s Sky News at the US Republican Convention in July 2024.

It would have been extremely humiliating for Kevin Rudd to, in effect, publicly bow to Rupert Murdoch by doing the interview for Murdoch’s Sky News given their recent history.

Murdoch’s Sky News humiliated Kevin Rudd globally in March this year in an interview Donald Trump gave, which ended in Trump attacking Rudd.

Kevin Rudd has basically said, “stuff the Murdoch Royal Commission and its supporters,” as they are no longer of value to him. (Click here to read more)

On the 7th of May 2026, only weeks after Rudd retired in March 2026 as Australia’s Ambassador to the US, Channel 10 broadcast a news story that had an excerpt of Kevin Rudd giving his expert opinion on Murdoch’s Fox News in the US as per below.

On the 15th of May, 2026, Murdoch’s Sky News in Australia published the below video on YouTube with the reporter saying in relation to Rudd, “He has appeared on Fox again,” and then showing the video of Rudd.

People giving expert opinions on Murdoch’s Fox News are paid, and Kevin Rudd is being paid by Murdochs.

But even if Rudd wasn’t paid by Murdoch, he has totally undermined the credibility of his own previous criticism of Rupert Murdoch and his media companies by going on Fox News and undermined the work done and allegations made against Murdoch during the Murdoch Royal Commission campaign.

But just as importantly, Rudd has sold out all the people who donated to the Murdoch Royal Commission campaign and the over 500,000 people who signed the petition.

I will follow up soon on Kevin Rudd and his new relationship with Rupert Murdoch because it has ramifications for many others, including the Labor Party, and without a doubt many Labor voters won’t be happy with Rudd either, to say the least.
