ACT Police confirm they are still investigating Brittany Higgins’ rape allegation but refuse to answer questions regarding alleged rapist Bruce Lehrmann

The ACT police investigation into Brittany Higgins’ rape allegation against Bruce Lehrmann has dropped off the radar as the police and media have gone silent on what is or isn’t happening, so I emailed the police media team to see if there had been any movement.

With almost all the old media refusing to name Bruce Lehrmann it is aiding and abetting a potential cover-up, so it is even more important for independent media like this website to keep on top of the story. I have written 2 articles with evidence that Bruce Lehrmann is the alleged rapist and I have had it confirmed by numerous sources. (Click here and here to read more)

I tried it on with the first list of questions I emailed the police knowing that the police might not give me an answer and they responded saying just that as per below:

Emails to the Police

I emailed the media team at the federal police on Friday at 9:30am:

From: SHANE DOWLING
Sent: Friday, 16 April 2021 9:30 AM
To: AFP Media
Subject: Media request from journalist Shane Dowling

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing an article and I have a few questions:

  1. Can you confirm if the AFP/ACT Police are still investigating Bruce Lehrmann for alleged rape?
  2. Can you confirm if the AFP/ACT police have interviewed Bruce Lehrmann?
  3. Can you confirm if the AFP/ACT police have charged Bruce Lehrmann with criminal offences?

Please respond by 5PM today so I can publish.

Regards

Shane Dowling

The ACT police, who are a division of the Federal Police, responded:

Your enquiry has been referred to ACT Policing.

We are unable to answer your questions.

TEAM LEADER ACT POLICE MEDIA

I followed up with another email at 10:34am and asked:

Can you confirm if the ACT Police are still investigating the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins by Bruce Lehrmann at Parliament House in 2019?

I received no response, so I sent another email at 11:48am and asked:

Can you please advise if the ACT Police are still investigating the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins at Parliament House in 2019?

I received a response from the ACT Police Media Team at 12:02pm which said:

Yes, ACT Policing is.

End of email chain

State and Federal police have a standard policy of not naming the person who they are investigating, and I knew they were unlikely to answer my initial questions because I named Bruce Lehrmann in the questions but I thought I would have a try.

Bruce Lehrmann - UN function

Bruce Lehrmann – UN function

If Lehrmann had been named widely by other media, the police would have been more likely to answer the questions in the first email. But I also knew that the police would have an obligation to answer the question I asked them in the third email I sent them because I took Bruce Lehrmann’s name out and it is a huge public interest matter. I was just seeing if the police would confirm that Bruce Lehrmann is being investigated but they did to some degree by not refuting the fact they are investigating him in the first lot of emailed questions.

Scott Morrison’s office involved in the cover-up

Below is Brittany Higgins at the March 4 Justice rally in Canberra on the 15th of March 2021 pointing out the lies coming from Scott Morrison’s office.

It must be noted that people in Scott Morrison’s office have been up to their necks in the cover-up since day one. I wrote on the 16th of February 2021:

Scott Morrison’s Private Secretary, Yaron Finkelstein, and his Chief of Staff, John Kunkel, were the 2 senior figures tasked by Scott Morrison to cover up the alleged rape of Liberal Party staffer Brittany Higgins for 2 years until it was exposed in the media on Monday (15/2/21). They were aided in the cover-up by Fiona Brown who is another senior staffer from the Prime Minister’s office who was temporarily seconded to work as Chief of Staff in the office of Defence Minister Senator Linda Reynolds. (Click here to read more)

Scott Morrison has an inquiry afoot to find out who in his office knew what and when about the alleged rape and another inquiry about who in his office allegedly backgrounded the media with lies as per Brittany Higgins’ complaint in the above video and neither inquiry has achieved anything which is further evidence of a cover-up with Scott Morrison’s fingerprints all over it.

Cover-up includes the AFP and NSW Police Commissioners

I wrote on the 13th of March 2021:

In the last couple of weeks, AFP Commissioner Reece Kershaw has sent a letter, which was drafted by Scott Morrison, to federal politicians warning sexual assault victims, such as Brittany Higgins, that they need to go to the police and not the media. And NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller stated that rape allegations by Katharine Thornton against Attorney-General Christian Porter “probably would not have gone to court” even though the police had not even investigated the matter. When looking at the conduct and communication of both AFP Commissioner Reece Kershaw and NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller in relation to the 2 alleged rapes it is obvious there has been political interference by Scott Morrison and his office. (Click here to read more)

The cover-up of Katharine Thornton’s rape allegations against former Attorney-General Christian Porter has a lot of similarities to the cover-up of Brittany Higgins rape allegation for almost 2 years

It has been revealed in the last week that the NSW police deliberately missed multiple opportunities to take a statement off Katharine Thornton: The Guardian reported (12/4/21):

New South Wales police passed up an offer by South Australian police to take a statement alleging sexual assault against Christian Porter – apparently without putting the option to the alleged victim – new documents reveal.

The documents, produced to the NSW Legislative Council after a motion by the MP David Shoebridge, reveal how a request to travel interstate to take the statement was rejected in March 2020 because it was not deemed essential.

They also show the NSW police rejected a request from Porter’s accuser to take her statement via Skype and alternatives were not pursued because the alleged victim seemed “resigned” to Covid-19 interruptions to travel delaying it until September.

Shoebridge told Guardian Australia the documents show the NSW police “made two separate decisions to delay taking a statement, neither of which appears to have had a valid basis”. (Click here to read more)

I cannot believe that the police failings in the Katharine Thornton investigation were accidental because it wasn’t one mistake, it was many.

Media complicit in the cover-up

The list of people that the media have named before a police investigation or charges were laid is a mile-long such as actor Craig McLachlan, footballer Jarryd Hayne and former High Court of Australia judge Dyson Heydon who has never been charged. So why not Bruce Lehrmann?

There is no legal basis for the media not to name Bruce Lehrmann and by not naming him the only people who are benefiting are the people trying to cover it up which includes Scott Morrison and the government. The media are happy to name anyone and everyone almost all of the time except in certain “special cases” such as this one and I have no doubt that Scott Morrison’s office has called in favours to make sure he is not named by the old media.

I’ll keep following up regularly on this matter.

  1. In effect one might conclude that the L/NP party and its high-positioned, academicically-charged, creators of injustice, that through their combined actions of halting all active assistance and in defraying the cause as so created, to further impel the mind-destroying despairs suffered by the victim, had achieved its evil purposes. (As had been lately stated as a criminal complaint lodged with the NSW police by the complainant, the late Ms. Thornton.)

The resultant suffocating mental disempowerment now brought foremost in its affect upon the mind of said late Ms. Thornton, could only add to the serious suffering despairs continually impacting upon the victim’s former brilliant mind.
Here arises the question, How can one escape from the torturing memories that had become so powerful and so overwhelming in the severity of its mentally tormentuous impact?

The current system of law and justice had not only thwarted the late Ms. Thonton’s access to resolve the suffering she had undergone… resultant from both criminal acts (one of violent forced buggery the other, fiercely forced rape) had, since that hugely traumatic event, continued unrelenting to add to the enormous burden of the late Ms. Thornton’s mental despairs.

I do personally believe that those above-mentioned responsible high profile creators of both justice and injustice, had effectively hastened the most expedient action available to obtain ultimate relief… Ms.Thornton had been left so stymied, thus had chosen to end her life.

[Stymied; obstructed, also hindered, and or to be impeded.]

A tragedy of the worst conceived injustice to have ever been inflicted upon an innocent victim.

Was it’s incomprehensible and untelligible cause and effect, wrought by the hands of those who rule over Australia’s crumbling system of justice?

Keep in mind the desecration of Australia’s separation of powers.
