Bruce Lehrmann and Channel 7Channel 7

Channel Seven paid $1000’s for prostitutes for Bruce Lehrmann approved by owner Kerry Stokes

Kerry Stokes’ Channel Seven paid for prostitutes for alleged rapist Bruce Lehrmann and a Seven staffer in November 2022, during the course of Lehrmann’s rape trial, as part of negotiations for Lehrmann to do an interview on Seven’s Spotlight program.

Bruce Lehrmann and the prostitute issue is now also ingulfing the office of NSW Police Minister Yasmin Catley and the NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb who has in the last few days employed a key player from Seven, Steve Jackson who tried to reverse the payment for prostitutes, as her new media adviser.

Channel Seven do not deny the Seven staffer paid for prostitutes for himself and Lehrmann on a Channel Seven (Spotlight) credit card. Nor do they deny that Seven tried to reverse the credit card transaction and pay cash to cover it up as per the below text messages.

Bruce Lehrmann - texts from Channel Seven employees

Bruce Lehrmann is denying the claim, but he is not threatening defamation action against News Corp and Samantha Maiden. Given Lehrmann’s truckloads of perjury and his admission to even more lies any denial by him is hardly credible.

News.com reported on Thursday (21/3/24):

It was the bombshell interview with Bruce Lehrmann that promised viewers “nothing was off limits” but it has now emerged the broadcaster left out the night when a Network Seven credit card was used to book the former Liberal staffer a $1000 Thai masseuse.

The total amount paid in one night for Mr Lehrmann and the Seven staffer appears on the Spotlight credit card as $2940 in multiple transactions of $1000. (Click here to read more)

The SMH reported on Saturday (23/3/24):

Lehrmann agreed he was in Sydney with the staffer on the night but he denied using the services. “It’s an untrue and bizarre story from a disgruntled ex-Network Seven producer,” Lehrmann told News Corp. “Network Seven [has] only ever covered reasonable travel for filming and accommodation.”

Multiple sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told this masthead (SMH) that the network paid thousands of dollars on flights, food and accommodation for Lehrmann, a keen golfer, including a trip to Tasmania that included a visit to a picturesque golf course, when they were doing the deal. “They really wanted that story,” said one. Serial liar and perjurer Bruce Lehrmann can blame a “disgruntled ex-Network Seven producer” but the problem Lehrmann has is that no one at Seven is denying the story and that’s why he can’t sue or make threats to sue for defamation.

At one point the News.com article says Seven paid $1000 for one prostitute for Lehrmann and at another it is for 2 prostitutes, one for Lehrmann and one for the staffer. Unless Seven are prepared to say more then it is likely more of the $2940 spent in total on the one night might have been on prostitutes. Or given we know Bruce is a cokehead, maybe cocaine?

Either way, the money was not for “Thai massages” as they do not cost $1000 or even $500. It was money spent by a major media company for a prostitute for an alleged serial rapist, during the course of a rape trial, which raises many questions which I will discuss below.

Channel Seven said they never paid Bruce Lehrmann for the interview on 7’s Spotlight show but we know for a fact, as exposed during Lehrmann’s defamation case, that Seven paid about $120,000 for 12 months rent for Lehrmann.

Bruce Lehrmann also, under oath at his defamation case, told Justice Michael Lee in the Federal Court of Australia that he was not paid by Seven. But now there are reported allegations of Seven paying for prostitutes, airfares, food, accommodation and golf etc which if true means Lehrmann perjured himself.

And given Channel 10 / Lisa Wilkinson subpoenaed documents from Channel 7 regarding payments to Lehrmann for his rent, are Seven in contempt of court for failing to hand over the receipts for the prostitutes, airfares, food, accommodation and golf etc?

Justice Michael Lee has announced he will hand down his judgment in Lehrmann’s defamation case on the 4th of April 2024 but maybe he should set it down for another day for hearing given the new evidence of possible perjury by Bruce Lehrmann and possible contempt of court by Channel 7.

The SMH have also reported on Saturday (23/3/24) that the full $2940 was for the prostitutes and the SMH has named the former Seven staffer as Taylor Auerbach who has now been sacked by Sky News because of the scandal. The SMH says:

The controversial appointment of veteran Seven News journalist Steve Jackson to run media affairs for NSW Police has taken an unexpected turn, with his former colleague Taylor Auerbach being sacked from Sky News Australia.

Auerbach had only been appointed to the role of investigations producer at the News Corp-owned news channel in January after an earlier exit from Seven’s Spotlight current affairs program.

While not named in recent stories, it is widely known that Auerbach was the unnamed Spotlight producer who put almost $3000 on a Seven corporate card for the services of two Thai masseuses.

It is understood his role in putting almost $3000 worth of Thai masseuse services on a Seven corporate card was a factor in Sky terminating his services on Friday. The station declined to comment further. (Click here to read more)

Some of the issues that Kerry Stokes’ Channel Seven paying for a prostitute for Bruce Lehrmann raises

Seven paid for the prostitute for Bruce Lehrmann on the 25th of November 2022, which is after the rape trial had been aborted on the 27th of October 2022 because of juror misconduct, but before Lehrmann found out on the 2nd of December 2022 that he would not face a retrial. (Click here to read more) Lehrmann’s Toowoomba rape allegations were not known at that time and he wasn’t charged until 2023.

So, at the time Seven were paying for Lehrmann to be supplied with sexual services he was still potentially facing another rape trial. One of the biggest issues was raised by someone on the social media site Threads as per below: (Click here to see on Threads)

The “alleged serial rapist” comment above is supported by the numerous other women who have made sexual assault and rape allegations against Bruce Lehrmann. (Click here to read more)

I posted the below message on Twitter (21/3/24):

Channel Seven’s history of paying criminals for stories with Kerry Stokes approval

When you look at the history of Kerry Stokes’ Channel Seven paying criminals for stories and spending massive dollars on defamation cases to cover up crimes there can be no doubt that Kerry Stokes approved the spending on the prostitutes. If Stokes didn’t approve it beforehand, he definitely did after given no one was sacked for it which is what would happen at any other company.

In 2023 Kerry Stokes’ Seven spent huge dollars on legal fees for suppression orders to protect alleged paedophiles who starred on Seven which is still before the courts. (Click here to read more)

Kerry Stokes spent an estimated $30 million to try and conceal Ben Roberts-Smith’s war crimes. Stokes tried to get Seven to pay the bill until he was found out. (Click here to read more)

Given Kerry Strokes has no problem spending big dollars trying to protect war criminals and alleged paedophiles do you think he has a problem paying a few thousand dollars for a prostitute for an alleged serial rapist for an interview? Of course he doesn’t and that is why he didn’t sack anyone for it.

Bruce Lehrmann scandal is of his own making

The Bruce Lehrmann scandal has engulfed, damaged and destroyed the careers of a lot of people in the political, media, legal and law enforcement fraternities.

Now the Lehrmann scandal has taken another turn leading into Channel 7, Sky News, the NSW Police Minister and the NSW Police Commissioner. It can be traced back to Bruce Lehrmann, his Channel 7 Spotlight interview and his frivolous defamation claim against Channel 10 and Lisa Wilkinson which has produced a lot of the evidence.

Don’t forget, all the evidence points to a major motivation for Bruce Lehrmann, his barrister Steven Whybrow and Senator Linda Reynolds doing the Spotlight interview was to try to bully and intimidate Brittany Higgins not to give evidence at Lehrmann’s defamation trial.

Intimidating a witness is a criminal offence, so if that is the case, and I have no doubt it is, then the whole Spotlight interview was a crime and everyone involved should be charged by the NSW police.

See the problem? Are the NSW Police going to charge the NSW Police Commissioner’s new media advisor, Steve Jackson? And what will the NSW police do if any of Bruce Lehrmann’s other alleged victims decide to make complaints? And will Steve Jackson leak to Kerry Stokes’ Channel Seven?

I sometimes read comments on social media of people saying they are sick of this story. Don’t be. It is taking us straight into the heart of corruption in Australia on so many levels and it’s going to keep on growing. There will be books, there will be movies and there has to be a Royal Commission.

    • Great work !!
It must all come out. What a filthy mess. How can anyone trust, when the integrity is lost !

  1. Well well well … What do they say?
“the opera ain’t over until the fat lady sings.”
This opera seems to be garnering more acts and songs as the storyline progresses. Good work KCA! You probably need to put a new edge on that trusty shovel you use.

  2. Why is it that we can’t have more journalists in Australia doing proper reporting like this?
    Don’t bother answering.
The answer is in this article too.

  3. In breaking news, NACC with their stated intention of cleaning up Australia, announced the arrival of mops and brooms. From China.

  4. If he was unemployed and claiming to be broke at the time, I’m just wondering if he claimed Rent Assistance? I’ve helped fill in Rent Assistance forms before, and they don’t just ask what rent you pay, they very clearly ask you what percentage of that rent you personally pay. Which in Bruce Lehrmann’s case would be 0%, so any RA payments for that period where Channel 7 were paying his rent would be fraudulent. That’s probably also part of the reason he arranged for payment to go to someone else, not directly to him – so he wouldn’t have to declare it as income to Centrelink (presumably also his defence on that perjury claim you make, that he wasn’t the one who was paid).

  5. Great work as always. Thank you for shining a light on corruption at the highest level.
