Alan Jones’ 24 charges for sexual assault allegations, with 8 alleged victims, on Monday (18/11/24) means it is almost certain he will be found guilty and likely do some jail time.
If it had only been one or two victims and a few charges Jones might have stood a chance of defending the matter. But Jones has about 20 too many charges and about 6 too many alleged victims to have any chance in court.
And police have said they believe that more victims will now likely come forward after the publicity about Jones arrest and charges, and I agree. I would not be surprised if the final number of charges and victims ends up double or triple the current numbers.
Below are some of the main articles I have written about Alan Jones being a sexual predator since 2015 and the question you should ask yourself is if this website can write so much about Alan Jones what have the old media companies been doing?
The old media have been protecting Jones, that is what they’ve been doing. Along with the politicians and business people who have been protecting Jones for decades.
In May 2015 I published an article titled “2GB’s Alan Jones sent love letters to a schoolboy. Why has he never been charged with grooming?” which starts off:
Sydney radio station 2GB’s Alan Jones sent love letters to schoolboys, had boys in his room late at night and perved on them in the shower when he was a teacher at The King’s School in Sydney in the early 1970’s. This behaviour led to Alan Jones’ forced resignation in 1973.
That type of conduct would be considered grooming today and the police would be called for sure. And if it was anyone but Alan Jones the matter of the forced resignation by The King’s School would have been given a start at the current Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The ABC has given known child groomer and alleged paedophile Alan Jones airtime to defend Cardinal George Pell’s criminal conduct while Australia is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a Royal Commission investigating child sexual abuse. I think it is disgusting and should not have happened, but at the very least the ABC should have made the audience aware of the documented allegations against Alan Jones. The questions relate to Alan Jones who works for Fairfax Media as a radio announcer on Fairfax’s 2gb radio station.
- Are you aware that the NSW Police are currently investigating Alan Jones, Fairfax Media and 2gb radio announcer, for statutory rape of schoolboys in the 1980’s?
- Are you aware that Alan Jones is a known paedophile who groomed schoolboys when he was a teacher at The King’s School in Parramatta Sydney in the 1970’s?
- Are you aware that documented evidence against Alan Jones for child grooming is well-known and freely available in the book Jonestown (2006) with extracts detailing the child grooming easily accessible on the internet including on Fairfax Media’s websites?
- Are you aware that the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is currently investigating abuse at The King’s School which includes the time when Alan Jones was a teacher there?
- Are you aware that Alan Jones is good friends with corrupt former police officers Roger Rogerson and Glen McNamara who have both recently been convicted of the death of Jamie Gao?
- Given the uncontested evidence and allegations against Alan Jones do you plan on sacking Alan Jones or at the very least standing him down from further duties until the NSW Police and Royal Commission have completed their investigations?
Can you please respond ASAP so I can publish your response in my article.

In February 2020 I published an article titled “Alan Jones is back grooming young male students for his sexual pleasure” which starts off:
Alan Jones has a long history of being a sexual predator of young males and is now in a sexual relationship with 22-year-old university student Jake Thrupp who is also employed by the 78-year-old Mr Jones on a part-time basis.
The reason we know this is because Jones’s employer Nine Entertainment ran not one, but two stories on the scandal last year and while they did not expressly state Jones and Thrupp are in a sexual relationship they said enough so the reader is in no doubt that is the situation. In March 2020 I published an article titled “Alan Jones’s 22-year-old boyfriend Jake Thrupp sends a legal threat to journalist” which starts off:
Alan Jones’s boyfriend Jake Thrupp and his parents sent me a legal threat from Gillis Delaney Lawyers on the 19th of February 2020, as per the below letter, in relation to an article I published a week before on the 12th of February titled “Alan Jones is back grooming young male students for his sexual pleasure.”
I suspect that the legal letter was likely paid for and almost certainly driven by Alan Jones who is a radio announcer for the Nine Entertainment owned 2GB in Sydney.
There are a number of problems with the legal letter that make it extremely weak but the average person, not used to getting letters like that, might have been intimidated. (Click here to read the article)
In December 2020 I published an article titled “Alan Jones refuses to deny having sex with schoolboys when he was a teacher in defamation case against the SBS” which starts off:
Alan Jones has refused to deny having sex with schoolboys in a detailed list of 30 questions as per the below email that I sent to him via his lawyers regarding his defamation case against the SBS and presenter Alex Lee with Jones claiming one of the alleged imputations was that “Mr Jones was a paedophile”.

In February 2021 I published an article titled “Alleged paedophile Alan Jones settled defamation case with SBS after they filed a truth defence and Australian media covered it up” which starts off:
Alan Jones settled his defamation lawsuit, the day before Christmas 2020, against the SBS who he claimed had in effect accused him of being a paedophile for sending love letters to schoolboys when he was a teacher at The King’s School in Sydney in the 1970’s.
Jones’s motivation to settle seems to have been when the SBS filed a defence that included the truth defence which meant the court would have heard evidence that Jones is a paedophile. (Click here to read the article)

A lot of what I wrote above should have been reported by all the old media, not just some. But it wasn’t because of the Alan Jones protection racket which needs to be investigated as well.
While Nine did employ Alan Jones and protected him for years, they did ultimately out him as well, which might have been motivated to balance out their crimes of protecting him for years.

I remember Alan Jones lecturing Chopper Read on a TV talk show I think Kerry Anne Kennerley? About Read murdering a heroin dealer and saying you can’t take the law into your own hands or there will be vigilantes, paraphrasing here. Welcome to Jail, Alan you’ll find you will get lots of attention but not the type you`d enjoy and not so young as your used too Chopper Read response is classic Gold.
The question I’d be asking is how long has the police known about this? When were complaints made and why didn’t they act on the complaints. What are the reasons for not acting? Was it political interference? Was it bribery or is it just a fact, that the laws only apply to people who do not wield power.
Well, ask anyone who spent time in Darlinghurst and Kings Cross and you’ll find everyone’s known about it for decades. While he was being a vile homophobe on air he was spending his evenings trawling for by-the-hour trade on the wall.
It appears that since Jones has left employment (and protection) from old media that the police finally went after him. It is telling on the power of old media.
Good article. KCA. As you state, Jones should have been exposed and sentenced years ago. One can now presume that he will die in jail.
He should have kept a low profile after the Piccadily Circus incident.
It will be interesting to see if any members of the legal fraternity are exposed for their long standing interest in these matters.
I noted in passing that Ray Hadley, now former 2GB morning screecher has also retired just before this announcement. I wonder if that is a case of ”rats leaving a sinking ship”?
That Jones, Chopper Read interview, with KAK. As I remember it, Chopper Read had replied to Jones, “Hey, I may have done a lot of bad things in my life, but I’ve never been arrested in a public toilet cubical hitting on another bloke”. And that was where KAK immediately stopped the interview and protected Jones from any further exposure of Jones lifetime of typical hypocrisy. And this is an example of what the LNP politicians, media and police have been doing protecting and covering up for decades.
Agreed, and Jones appeared several times on ABC’s Q&A, and that gave him somewhat of an imprimatur to be one of the good guys, when all along those at the ABC must’ve been aware of the outstanding claims against him.
The ABC commissioned the book JONESTOWN, then got cold feet so it became a money spinner for Melbourne University Press. Jones had no influence south of the Murray.
Melbourne University Press did not publish the book.
Allen & Unwin Australia published the book “Jonestown: The Power and The Myth of Alan Jones” in October 2006.
Jones is a has-been. His wide political influence has vanished. However, he is well-known to be vindictive and it is certain that he will try to drag some others down with him. I wish I could share KCA’s optimism about jail time. It will also be interesting to see who gives him a character reference.
Yes, we live in a country which protects paedophiles and those who protect them.
Bugger me, regardless of fame, influence, power or wealth l can’t understand why politicians, old media or fellow friends in power would ever want to ignore & support any alleged paedophile, one of the worst sickest crimes that could be committed… Surely some of these enablers have children of their own & would despise any thing happening to them…. Paeds, a low form of human life….
It’s his sheer hypocrisy that gets me. He refused to admit to being gay despite it being obvious. Then defends Israel Folau for saying terrible things about homosexuality. Hopefully some of his former school students from the 70’s and 80’s will come forward and expose him for the predator he is.

Of course THAT has nothing to do with it. A joke for the rest of us, and a travesty for his victims. Here’s Hoping he spends what miserable years he has left in jail. There is a huge question in my mind. How is it that Jones has gotten away with overt perversion for so long?

Well done. At long last the system has been forced into action. Like George Pell this man enjoyed protection from John Howard.
Over the years an image has built up of Alan Jones being a nasty, dirty old man.
I think Jones’s incitement of hatred against female polititions is worse than his behaviour toward young men.
Perving on young men and groping is part of some circles of football culture.
He advocated the drowning of Julia Gillard & Clover Moore & violence against Jacinda Ardern. I’ve never listened to him & only know what there’s been reported elsewhere so there have probably been many more.
I only hope that he lives long enough to face justice. I bet he will try and wriggle his way out of going to court – or will he try and pay off a judge or two?

Along with his racism, Jones’ historical role in the creeping normalisation of Trumpist misogyny in this country is a despicable aspect of his baleful public influence that can surely be talked about without diminishing the miserable depredations of his alleged sexual offending or distorting the legal process.
The unfolding bigger picture of abuses of power and its dark machinations at the highest institutional levels may be constrained by defamation laws but should not be limited in this case by sub judice.

Apart from the obvious, it underscores the importance of robust systems for exposing and addressing any alleged abuse, physical or mental, regardless of the perpetrator’s status. It also serves as a call to action for transparency and reform in all professions and industries, in fact any workplace or home. There must never be those that turn a blind eye to this misconduct.
REMEBER:

Public attention, fuelled by detailed investigative reporting like this, can play a crucial role in ensuring justice for victims and dismantling systems of complicity.

Anticipate the judge ruling that because of his age Jonesy wont do jail time, which quite very well may have been what NSW police were thinking.
